Really good "Steak Fritters" ie a light steak and chips. Perfect before a walk along the river.Would definitely be up for coming back for a proper steak meal.A slightly more expensive place to dine but also, generally nice.

Was great until a manager decided to argue over around 3% of our bill. If you order drinks make sure you’re aware that there might be a typo that shows drinks as cheaper than they’ll actually charge you and if you raise that they’ll send a manager to explain why you’re “confused” instead of accepting their mistake and correcting the bill. Lovely waitress disgusting and unprofessional manager.

Great location right on the quay. Fab gastro pub feel inside with a hint of industrial. Staff we very friendly and service was excellent. Food was very tasty and with good sized portions too. Will definitely return 😀

Great setting on River Exe; warm, cosy and spacious at the same time, a lovely ambience all round. Exceptionally friendly service; very good menu and food cooked well. No hesitation in going back again.

Eight of us ate here last night. We pretty much all had steaks, cooked in different ways. All of the meals were absolutely delicious. The staff were attentive, without being in your face. We came here as the original venue had to cancel on us because of having staff off with Covid. I don’t think Samuel Jones was any kind of compromise!

Great food, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Its not cheap, but its not expensive, and you definitely get more than what you pay for. Really lovely interior, with a great view out to the Quay. The service was what made this visit outstanding though. The waiter was friendly, but not overly so, and is perfect for his job (sadly we can't remember his name). Will definitely be visiting again

Lovely views of the river, swans and geese. Waited quite a while for our drinks as they came out the same time as our meal. Food was ok but slightly over priced for what it was.

Great place, excellent service but food let us down. Both of our meals were extremely saulty... Couldn't actually taste the food.. That's means chefs is hiding something 👀

A beautiful bar in a great location. Lovely food offering, decent beer selection and very friendly service. Food is on the pricier side but it’s worth it

Contemporary/industrial chic interior, good menu, delicious well cooked food, friendly staff. Gorgeous location.
