Fantastic food. Lovely freindly service, dog friendly as well. Never had a Carvery that served lamb before, nice treat. Food very fresh and superb quality. £10.50 large,£8 regular and £4.50 kids. For a city centre location simply amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We were looking for budget accommodation close to Exeter university and the town centre. This place ticked all the boxes. The beds were a bit lumpy and the area was noisy (Saturday night rowdy people - not the accommodation).Breakfast was about £5, but a good standard and we had breakfast in the sunshine. If you are looking for basic accommodation in Exeter, then this place is perfectly fine.

Great low-cost accommodation in central Exeter, good atmosphere in the pub and perfectly adequate pub grub!

The food is first class, Steve and his team are some of the best you could ever meet. The doorman H is a true gentleman. Rooms are clean and warm. I will see you all soon. Thank you one and all.

Best roast ever. Great prices. The chef is so friendly & entertaining. Staff friendly & professional.

We were only on this pub for a short period of time.My reason for giving this rating is all based on the doorman. He was informative, fun and very helpful pointing out the direction to food places and other areas of interest. When we arrived to park he shouted across that it was free from 18:00 - 08:00.

The Farmers Union bar has a range of drinks - including four different types of fruit juice for the non-alcoholic drinker. When I came there last night, I was thirsty so I ordered a couple of drinks, the first one being a mix (or hybrid, if you will) of orange and apple juice; and the second, of pineapple and cranberry.

I will say this is a 2 star hotel.Uncomfortable and room smell..Very expensive for the type of service provided.I would have expected the hotel to be competitive considering there is a a hotel next to it which I have stayed before.Thank God I booked it only for a night.

The rooms did not fit the description. Tried different rooms and the first one did not have a bathroom. The towels had a strong smell. Overall the rooms were not clean. After a few days the staff stopped cleaning the room for a period of 3-4 days! For a very similar price you are better off going to the Mercure Hotel

A good place to stay, which is close to the city centre, and a 10-minute walk from Exeter St David's station, and 5 minutes from Exeter Central station. We had a clean, comfortable room. The staff are friendly, and the food was good.
