COOKED IN BEEF DRIPPING. Oh what a shame, just read a local magazine article about this shop and saw this. Heaven to many, cardio horror to others. Must have missed the signage when I stood in the shop waiting. That's it for me though.I was early so the fish and chips hadn't rested and drained. Very greasy but flavoursome. After effects next day. Go later, after 1230. Nice staff though. Regular fish and chips Β£6.60

have been here recently, at least three occasions, best crispy chips I've had for years.

My mum used to take me here years ago when I was little, when we visited my nan I'm not sure if they are the same people but to find the chip shop still here was fantastic! & it didn't disappoint on a visit with my mum we came here for our dinner it was delicious and I couldn't fault it, coming from London I was expecting it to be the same price but was very surprised at how much cheaper it was ! You have got real bargain here for such a yummy meal !

Nice fish and chips, but, not a particular friendly welcome!

I used to come here a while back and loved the chips. Came with the wife tonight and we wish we didn't bother! Chips super greasy and the fish wasn't any better. The mushy peas don't even get me started on them. Absolutely diabolical. The seagulls even turned their noses up at it.

Very tasty good old traditional fish and chips, and the mushy peas make a yummy accompaniment πŸ‘Œ. It's cash payments only though folks!

This is my local chippie as I live in Buller road. Been going there for as long as I remember though under different owners over the years. Cant complain about their fish and chips or prices and you always get good portions. Service very efficient. I would recommend the battered sausages love 'em!

Been going there for years and never had a bad thing to say about the place. The owner is friendly and the place is always clean. The portion size is great as well, a large portion of chips easily feeds me and my son and the batter on the fish is fluffy and not to greasy like other chip shops I've been to.My only complaint is not enough salt and viniger on my food, but thats just down to personal preference.Over all I rate them 5* and would recommend them anyone wanting a quick and tasty meal.

This shop has improved a lot in recent times; hence it has gone from 2 to 5 stars!Based on a few new visits, everything is always piping hot, very well and freshly cooked with lovely crisp batter too. Excellent food at a reasonable price which is cheaper than almost everyone else I know in the area and without cutting portions size.A couple of friends had told me how good it was now it was under new management and they were not wrong. I wish they had told me before so in could enjoy it earlier. Before the food was ok but many times could leave a cold lard feeling on roof of your mouth; not anymore. I don't eat Fish and chips that often but The Fish Supper House is now my first place of choice.

This is an excellent fish and chip shop. Generally, other chip shops around Exeter tend to disappoint on either the fish or the chips but this one does not. The fish was succulent and the batter has that perfect crunch while the chips are fluffy and crispy at the same time. It was also pleasantly low cost. Not the best I've ever had but certainly the best I've had in the city. Cash only.
