The Prospect Inn in Exeter

Wouldn’t allow a group of 10 girls as on a hen do, was all variety of ages from 25-60 and was first stop for a drink to meet. Only reason they knew we were on a hen do as bride had a veil on other that that would not of known. Took veil off and still wouldn’t serve us. Unacceptable and staff were extremely rude. If we were on a works do they wouldn’t of known any different. Would not return and would not recommend.

Wanted to get changed after being dripping wet from kayaking. Staff were very rude. Forced me out of the toilets when I was half naked. All because we weren't paying customers even though we were planning on buying drinks when we were warm and dry. Apsolutley poor service and very hostile staff. 0 out of 5EDIT: We were not dripping wet at all. Just damp an cold. Forgive us for not queueing up first to inform but again we were cold.And as for language we did not cuss or use any bad language, not the case for you I'm afraid.Hostile and abusive even though we were polite to you from the start and you almost knocked the door through before you even knew who might of been occupying the cubicle. Very rude and abusive yourself, breaking data protection laws as we did not once break the law or cause an over the top disturbance.Plenty of better pubs/restaurants around I'd advise avoiding the prospect.

We went 2 nights in a row! Traditional pub friendly staff. Great food. What more could u ask for

I really like it here, its got lots of good seating availability outside & the inside is really nicely set out. It is a dog friendly pub in the bar area which for me is always a massive winner.

I had been here before and thought it was ok. However we have been several times recently either for a drink or for some food and it’s been really good. Today really spurred me to write a review though. They were offering a Chicken Kyiv with proceeds to Ukraine charities. It was stunning and a really nice sentiment. My (veggie) colleague’s Gnochhi was lovely too apparently. Mine was so good I made an additional donation to the cause. Service is great and friendly. Thanks for a lovely and rewarding lunch.

A lovely meal at prospect, it's our local food restaurant quality. My partner loved his fish and chorizo stew.

Nice location, friendly staff and good food and choice of beers. Service was very good considering there were no free tables outside.

Amazing family run pub, food was fantastic. Desserts are king
