We stopped at Venezia for a fried breakfast and pint while walking the dog along the quay and river. The waitress’s were friendly and quick to serve us. The breakfast took less than 10 minutes to brought to our table. Apx £22 for 2 large breakfast and two pints of kopparberg cider. We will most probably stop in again one day

Booked the venue for an end of season dinner with my society. The food all came at different times, there was no organisation between servers, the chicken was dry, the tiramisu tasted like whipped cream and nothing else, and the complementary wine tasted like vinegar. When you consider we paid £35 each, to have mediocre food with terrible service - I’m less than impressed!

Had dinner last night with a group of 4. The main course was great but the carrot cakes were dry and tasted old.The staff were nice but the service was appalling. You didn't get any unless you called for one, that is when you managed to find someone! They were not busy, sometime there were only us in the room. One carrot cake was not served but left idle on the entrance bar counter and I had to pick it up myself. The male waitress couldn't tell us the flavours of the icecream available but we were asked to go to the freezer to find out ourselves. Our table was not cleared after the main course although the waiter came to take our dessert order. It's only after we asked for another drink that the piles of dishes we made ourselves were cleared. We also noticed a waiter taking salt from the table of a client who had left ages ago, with his dishes still lying there and gave to a couple of old people without sanitizing it first - it shows that there is no Covid-19 precautions there at all.The service last night was really bad compared to the first time we went there and we will not go there again.

I met friends and partner here after a hard seven day week at work. My partner had offered to pre-order me a drink for my arrival but hadn't managed to. The lush lady with beautiful curly hair to served us straight away when I arrived! She shared out the tip we gave her despite the fact we intended it for her alone. I hope the managers of BAR V appreciate her!

Visited the quay today for my birthday. Wanted to go to Rock Fish but there was no availability (last minute choice to eat lunch out as we had dinner plans tonight). We fancied a drink and a light lunch, we saw Bar Venezia and saw they did a seafood salad so decided on this. I ordered the seafood salad and my husband ordered the ceaser salad. We ordered chips to share. The wait was approx: 45 minutes, not an issue at all for us as we were in no rush and it was a lovely warm day. We ordered a rose wine and a beer. The rose arrived in a plastic beaker and tasted cheap and sweet. I drank it seeing it was £5 and just looked forward to my salad. I thought the wait was going to be really worth it and some amazing salad was going to be brought out. How wrong was I.45 minutes later - presented before me was a bowl of salad leaves, seafood mixed in and a huge amount of sickly seafood sauce, which tasted like it was straight out of a bottle. I picked through it before biting in to a piece of calamari and having to chew through it. I tired a mussel - tasteless and wet. I tried a crayfish tail - chewy and so tough it was not edible. Then as I ate a bit more of the salad leaves, I saw water. I tipped the bowl and there was a good 100 ml of water sat underneath the salad. I was done!We politely called one of the staff over and explained. I was offered something else about 3 times but I declined. I'd totally lost my appetite. I was offered a refund, which I accepted. I just picked at the chips, which were quite nice.We cannot fault the attentiveness of the waiting staff, they were on it and efficient, albeit the waiting time (of which we would have been absolutely fine with if we were served good food). They honoured a refund, were apologetic, friendly and polite - so 5 stars for that. However, 1 star for the quality of the food.If Gordon Ramsay was there he'd say...."My gran could do better and she's dead!".I'd never go here again , but it was an experience!

Another day, Another out door venue to check out! We stumbled on Venezia after a trip to TK Max which is a quarter of a mile away. Hungry and thirsty and with it raining we were looking for shelter and sustenance, albeit outside. Overhead heater and firstly a coffee kept us relatively warm before we ordered a beer and some small plates. The girls serving were cute and friendly, the food was average with the Albondigas being particularly suspect. We sent it back and got our money back. All in all it served a purpose but we won't be hurrying back.....

·

Amazing food, especially the Pesto pizza but slow service & bad coffee otherwise wouldv'e been 5 stars! Would definitely recommend for the pizza alone - they even have a gluten free base option.

·

Ordered pizza and it was delicious, the vibe especially after opening up due to covid was calm and everyone respected the restrictions. There was also live italian music that just sets the tone for the meal and adds to the whole calm vibe. Recommend also going when it's sunny and you'll enjoy the walk along the embankment.

Stopped here for a pint after exploring the Quay. Decided to stop for dinner, my wife had Carbonara, I had Aberdeen Angus burger. Food absolutely faultless, atmosphere great. Highly recommended.
