Gurkha Restaurant and Bar in Forest of Dean

If you're in the area, I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.There were three of us. For starters we had pork momo, the Gurkha special, and lamb choila. It was hard to split the Gurkha special but we managed it and frankly it was great.I had the lamb Raja Rani. I was close to ordering the chicken version but another customer recommended the lamb. I'm very happy with the recommendation as it was amazing. I accompanied the meal with Gurkha beer. The food was great, and the staff were very friendly.

So good we came back twice in a week.We visited near Chepstow for 8 nights and came here on our first evening. The food was brilliant, service was very attentive and polite! We decided that we would round off our holiday by visiting again on our last night and it was just as good again! Highly recommend!

It really does taste as good as it looks, friendly staff and a great selection of drinks. Not to mention the garden seating

Excellent food and service. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Authentic and flavourful food. Recommend bringing a large appetite (but don't worry they will give you a doggy bag) brilliant for families, groups of friends etc. Highly recommend.

A must visit. Delicious food, friendly service. We have returned many times and have enjoyed our food and drink at every visit. Parking is available around the restaurant. Bookings can be made and take away is also available.

What a excellent blend of various regions, tastes, smells and fantastic food. Nice friendly service and very pleasant atmosphere. The Gurkha beer was really nice

Excellent food and service. Menu choices are very good with everything marked with allergens. Different from the usual Indian dishes. Very good portions - they gave me a doggy bag for what I couldn't eat. They also have a small bar so you can meet up with friends and family before you sit down to eat. Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Good location on the A48 to Chepstow so very easy to find. A regular eating place now. Would definitely recommend.
