Magic Wok in Forest of Dean

I went here on the 19/04/22, and haven’t been for a while, as the last time I was there there was a very rude lad working there, shorter than the other guys which are always very polite, but this one who has been there a while now is very abrupt, not very friendly and certainly not a people person, and his telephone manner also, really bad!!practically throwing your change at you, And he is front of house so to speak!Well last night I was being lazy and rather than walk up the hill to the other places to eat, I decided to have a look to see whether it had changed or not, well, the quick answer to that was no, the same lad on the front counter, frowning at every customer that comes through the door as if to say what are you doing here, lol, then grunting at them as they order, then groaning at the phone customers, so I ordered my food in the same vane and he didn’t even batter an eyelid, lol, although I regretted it at 4am, as I was violently sick out of both ends!!Was it the food?Don’t know?I can’t prove it, obviously!But something isn’t right there at the moment!

I ordered the chicken curry with fried rice chicken balls and pancake rolls. I can’t express enough how horrible this meal was. The curry was watery and lacked flavour. The chicken in the curry sauce was dry and salty, to get the chicken to be dry in a sauce is an achievement not to be proud of. The chicken balls, were way to much dough that just soaked up fat. The pancake rolls didn’t have anything inside them! I feel sorry for the people of Cinderford. This place is horrific! Food isn’t that hard to get right. This Chinese Takeaway has given up on any kind of cooking ability.

Asked 3 times if the fish was cod as it was advertised. Told yes it was cod. Got home not cod just some cheap battered white fish.

Bought Vegetable Curry with chips but there's no way that was curry it was bamboo shoots noodles chow mein and juice Yuk Yuk with chips Now I've got indigestion

Ordered Food to be delivered to a different address and dident receive it at all !Apparently the food was left at our home address on the door step !We dident get it but they still took the money from my card. No apology and no refund ! Not Good as we have been customers for a long time

Friendly efficient service. Unlike most they cater for special dietary requirements. Food is always hot and freshly cooked.

Until a few months ago, the magic wok was very good. Nice food, friendly service and reasonably priced. However.. The last few times I've been have left me wondering whether I should bother anymore?The food is still nice, but the portion sizes have dwindled to the point where I am only just getting half a container of the main course. Sorry guys, but something has to change very quickly or I will definitely not be returning!
