Good old fashioned pub shame to say not too many left like this excellent Sunday lunch with friendly fast & efficient service brilliant place

Great local pub. Family run very friendly and accommodating. Thanks, we were a big group and a little loud at times, made to feel very welcome.

We spent a memorable night in the Nags Head on a reunion weekend. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly and provided excellent service, would recommend a visit.

We called in about 12noon today (Sunday 31/10/21) on the off chance we could have a lunch. We were told sure if we were prepared to eat in the bar. A true locals pub and a warm welcome from the staff. We had a lovely Sunday lunch, puddings and a couple of drinks. Really enjoyed everything in here and great to see it really busy. Thank you for making us feel welcome👍

Ian was very accomdating and accepted a Friday night booking for ten adults plus a toddler at short notice. Good communication throughout the evening with regards to waiting times.Wide choice of food on the menu and nicely cooked.Would recommend.

Myra runs an amazing pub, it is locals pub that is very welcoming to all. Food is home cooked and is proper grub. If you are in the area, pop in. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed in Parkend for three nights, ate here for two wish it had been all three !. Sue and Moira were so welcoming and friendly. It's been said in other reviews but it's true, the food was all home cooked and fantastic, large portions, very good value for money with quality ingredients (The beef in the Steak and ale pie just fell apart and was all lean) wish we had a local like this in our area, a step back in time in a good way.

Amazing pub in the Forest of Dean. Home made food like your mum used to make and guaranteed of a warm welcome. Highly recommended

Lovely local pub. Friendly quick service, food was good and very reasonably priced. They only accept cash payments though so you do need to be prepared. Would recommend.
