Swan House Tea Room in Forest of Dean

Needed somewhere to stay last minute and couldn't have asked for better. We arrived late which didn't seem to matter. A very comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. Very friendly and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Excellent in all regards, great hospitality, great choice of breakfast, great room (easy ground floor access), very comfortable, very clean, not a single complaint.I read somewhere in one review that the rooms were small, well that a relative term and for our needs our room was just the right size. However, if you want to hold a party for 4 or more people in them, I guess they could be considered to be too small but then this is a B&B and not a hotel.

Had a cream tea at 2.30 today. Delicious. Sandwiches just right, crusts cut off and bread fresh and soft. Really good choice of sweet or savoury scones, can't fault it.

We held our wedding reception here and stayed the night with some of the guests. The build up and planning was extremely professional and flexible, allowing us to add to the decor with our own items. The food was absolutely amazing and could not be faulted, the rooms have been converted and decorated to a high standard. This was the perfect venue for a small wedding reception which we found out later was their first. Would definitely recommend the Swan House Tea Rooms for any function particularly if you want an intimate wedding reception. Thank you so much Martin and Lorraine for making our day so special.

OH MY WORD Were do I start... We held my daughter's 40th birthday party there. Such a magnificent spread. We had the deluxe tea. It came out in proper three tiered cake stands. The display was out of this world and so much to eat between the sweet and savoury displays so much to choose from and so so delicious. When I started planning the surprise party Lorraine was so accommodating and nothing was a problem. Sharon made my daughter's cake it was stunning that it actually brought tears to my eyes. The staff were so efficient and cheerfully. Thank you to all the staff at The Swan Tea House for and unforgettable day. You can be very proud of yourselves. Once again a huge big THANK YOU

Afternoon TeaLovely setting, nice welcome.Amazing blue cheese and bacon scone.A choice of brown bread, also of cakes would have been good.

Lovely litte place the food was fantastic, as was the service, staff were really friendly and attentive. Had the Deluxe mixed Afternoon Tea,which i would definitely recommend, just the right mix of sweet and savoury.

Had several afternoon teas for different reasons and lunches. Excellent food, friendly service and great value. Would recommend to anyone.

Such a delightful place. We went as a family for afternoon tea. The food was delicious and we were made to feel really welcome.There is a super choice of home made scones and cakes and lovely freshly made sandwiches. There was a choice of teas which was was served in a large pot which kept going.A great place which also accomodates bed and breakfast. I would definately recommend.

Had the most delicious bacon and cheese scone's presented beautifully. Lovely food and cake served by two fab ladies.......We will definitely return soon as we are fairly local.
