The Globe Inn in Forest of Dean

The staff fitted us in despite us having accidentally booked the wrong Globe. This is despite the fact that it was a busy Good Friday.The service was great as usual and the food was excellent. Our boys really enjoyed their food as did us four adults.We have found The Globe to provide some of the best food and service in the area and hope to return again soon.

So glad we made a reservation here for dinner! We had a really lovely time. The staff were super friendly and super attentive. They’re also pooch friendly.The food I was amazing, my son cleaned his plate! All of our food was well cooked, beautifully presented and we had some delicious options for my vegetarian husband.Everyone sounded super happy and the whole place has an amazing vibe! Kudos to what is some 5* management. We tried to get reservations twice but it bo surprise that they were completely booked!Good luck to all of you and hope to come back again.

Amazing service and outstanding food. Made to feel welcome and able to cater for every need! A busy venue but not over crowded and every plate returned to the kitchen empty!

First time here with my Partner, youngest Son and his Wife. Super ambience, tremendous food and great Staff. It was very busy which may have accounted for the slow service at times. When we next cross the Border into England we will certainly visit The Globe again. 😊

What a lovely place! Our first visit on a Chilly wet day, but a warm welcome here and a real log fire. Delicious menu and food very well cooked. Very pleasant surroundings, light and airy with an added nice touch of flowers and candles on the tables.

Honestly this is a 5* experience!The staff are friendly and super attentive, the whole pub is spotlessly clean and decorated to the highest standards!The food is AMAZING, nothing short of Michelin standards really, well cooked, beautifully presented and amazing choice.Kitchen was also organised and spotlessly clean, the chefs sounded super happy and the whole place has an amazing vibe!Toilets were also spotless!Hope you guys are proud of yourselves, this place is overall AMAZING!!We will be back ❤️

My partner brought me to The Globe for a surprise meal tonight, upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady. Showed to our table (table 16) and given menus, the lady also gave us a menu for the specials, we ordered starters of baked Brie with a very tasty chutney and bread and ham hock and black pudding Bon bons, wow! We were very impressed by these starters. We then had our mains, pork loin steak with parsley mash and green beans, and pork belly with black pudding mash, Savoy cabbage and peppercorn sauce. Now these meals were incredible, the best meals we’ve had for a long time, the pork belly is highly recommended. Both meals were hot and very tasty, portion sizes are not too big and not too small, the perfect amount. To follow we had lemon curd Eton mess and Apple oat crumble with honeycomb ice cream (normally comes with salted caramel but partner changed it) again, very lovely!Overall, the service we received was amazing, the meal we had was incredible and we honestly cannot fault anything.Would definitely return here and will be returning. Really nicely decorated, the food was delicious, especially as we'd been told the chef was new to cooking the main courses, the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful, especially the blond waitress who served us. If we lived locally we'd be here every week!

Fabulous family meal - 2 steaks, duck & veggie burger with Malbec wine followed by dessert. The crumble was to die for! Lovely decor & friendly staff. We would definitely dine here again but unfortunately live 2.5hrs away! Only issue was parking as very small car park & couldn't get on. Very narrow lanes & A48 either side. Very nice evening, thank you.
