Lovely setting that's extremely popular. Weather was good so loads of people seated outside. 3 good ales on and quick bar service. Recommended.

Disappointed with the food. Soup was just warm and was still the same when the 2nd bowl was brought out. Roast was mediocre. The atmosphere was however very friendly and the open mic was enjoyable. Would def go again for drinks and atmosphere.

Stopped here via Britstops membership and had a few drinks and a meal. Crispy chilli beef that was the best I've ever had, plus beef stroganoff that was also superb. Definitely a great place to stop.

Popped in for dinner on a Saturday evening without a reservation - staff quickly found us a table. The menu was simple but interesting, with homecooked food done to a high standard. The wild boar sausages and mash was excellent. Real ale was well kept and service was friendly and helpful.

Lovely atmosphere very welcoming , the dogs were very welcome. It’s one of our favourite pubs in the Forest. Everyone is so friendly. Excellent beers choices etc staff are great.

Absolutely loved it, looked nice on the website but since they accommodated myself plus 12 friends including 3 kids, serving generous portions of what was fabulous food at decent prices and definitely going back! Staff were also super friendly. One potential note, is for anyone who doesn't like dogs, they have a few on the premises (+ customers may bring their own.

Lovely evening at this delightful woodland pub. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was terrific and the prices were very reasonable. I had one of the best steak and ale pies ever, tons of it. The burger was also good, ditto the venison. All good size portions. Excellent house wine at £15 a bottle! We will return!note -Limited menu for non-carnivores.

Very clean, modern, dog friendly pub. Food was lovely, good varied menu. You can take the dog anywhere, including the dining room. Nice clean toilets. Large car park. Covered outside space. Walks with the dog from the car park, through the woods. Flat access, but a couple of small steps from the bar to the dining area. Very good service . We would definitely recommend.

Extremely good food, and a lovely place. We have an autistic daughter with allergies who gets very worried about contamination and the lady that served us was so helpful explaining to her where the food had come from and what ingredients were in the meal it was amazing! Went from an anxious daughter to one that was smiling and giggling. They were very accomodating to our large party with diverse requirements. Would highly recommend.
