Booked for dinner last week as staying nearby and as there were 7 of us and a dog it wasn't easy to find a table. The staff were very helpful and accommodating and the food was delicious.Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Stopped today for an impromptu lunch and we’re so glad we did! Great menu, incredible value. Food was super fresh, really generous portions. Dogs welcome in the garden. A real find!

Very welcoming, extremely accommodating, traveled from cardiff for the steam train supper, booked my partner and i a taxi to take us and pick us up, room was clean, very friendly pub!

We were treated so well by the staff at the Lydney, they were always willing to go the extra mile and help us out. So friendly. The room was comfortable and we slept really well. As vegans, they went the extra mile, even getting us vegan jammy dodgers in as complimentary biscuits! The food is delicious and we would definitely return.

Just came back from a 2 night stay at the Swan. What a lovely place. The staff was so helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was amazing and you won't be left Hungry. We will be coming back. Paula&Dean from the Rhondda👍👍

We booked this hotel for the in laws based on the reviews and we can only confirm the positive reviews and the good experience. The rooms are clean and tidy as are the bathrooms. Breakfast in the mornings is served and is plentiful and there is a good choice to choose from along with tea and coffee or not chocolate. There are juices available as well so there is something for everyone.In the evening you can eat in the pub or there is the attached restaurant the ugly duckling which serves great food and some more choice. The beds are nice and comfortable and provide for a good night's sleep.This is a great place
