Fantastic Pub/restaurant. Very friendly and welcoming. The food is outstanding (Easter Sunday lunch). Will definitely return.

Awesome Sunday roast. Definitely one of the best meals we've had out. And reasonably priced too. Ale was good too.

First visit here as it was central for us friends to get together for lunch. We were made very welcome and the food and service were great. Very patient with us at the end as we were busy 'catching up' and didn't realised they were waiting to shut. I would recommend and we will certainly be back.

What an amazing welcome for 8 walkers and dogs arriving unannounced. Couldn't do enough to accommodate us and the food was simply sensational in every dish. Felt like winning the Sunday lunch lottery!

Went for lunch as part of a group. Have been before but not since the pandemic. Didn't disappoint. Without exception everyone was really impressed with the quality of the food. Service and ambiance equally good. Will definitely return in the near future!

We stomped over in the rain on Febuary Sunday for lunch. It was worth it. Excellent roasts, well-kept cask beers and fantastic service. If you're staying at Forest Retreat's its definitely worth the walk.

One of the 5 best pubs I have tried in England (and I went to many). Really fantastic food, cosy pub with à fireplace and good service. Loved it!

Amazing food!!!!! Simply amazing.... Had the beef and Ale pie which was sumptuous, friends meals were all superb. So pleased we booked. Polite and friendly staff and drinks choice fab. Exactly what I'd want from a fantastic pub! Yum!

Lovely presented comfortable dog friendly pud/restaurant with nice outdoor garden space so you can dine inside or out, warm welcoming family staff made a nice afternoon meal out, an excellent change from your chain pub grub. Would highly recommend a visit if your looking for a meal in the area.
