Lovely friendly pub and food was delicious with generous portions. Highly recommend, will be back again :-)

A delightful setting next to a large lake with associated wild birds milling around. The pub has a very friendly atmosphere, with a basic but appetising menu and HUGE portions.

Absolutely beautiful place and food,stayed 2nights.fishing was awesome.

Ordered a coffee. It came in a cafetiere. Upon pushing the top down to get my coffee it scalded my hand and arm and went all over the tray. I took it back in and asked for a replacement. On finishing the replacement she said did you enjoy the coffee? I said it was a little strong for me. Whereupon she said Well it can't have been that bad you drank it!

Only fishing today! Lovely venue, large pegs, away from road and a pub on site! What more could you ask

Despite arriving 30 mins after lunch service had ended, the chef still provided exceptional meals of steak & kidney pie and lasagna with large portions. Excellent service and our chihuahuas got lots of cuddles too.

Really friendly place staff couldn't have been nicer. Very chatty and informative. Food was great and the seating outside by the lake was very picturesque. Having a tame Swan that pinches your chips is priceless.

Great value, friendly staff that can’t do enough for you and food is amazing. Oh and there’s lots of fish to catch too !

It was a lovely day and a lovely setting. Food was reasonably priced and staff friendly with excellent social distancing, and hygiene. The chips that came with the meals were white and limp and no one came out for a table check. The other food was OK though the bacon salty and sausages burnt. The salt cellar that came out with the meal was full of rice. Maybe they put the rice in to help keep the salt dry. There just wasn't any salt in it. It was below average. The flowering baskets were beautiful though.

Lovely little place in a cracking setting. Food was nice, lovely views if you eat outside and very well priced. 👍
