Balti Hut in Gloucester

Excellent service in this Balti restaurant. Quality of food is just outstanding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Called into restaurant on the off chance of getting a table. Had a very nice meal. Staff looked after us really well. Lovely food and excellent service. Will definitely go back for another meal.

First and a last time ordering at Balti HUt today as our favourite Polash wasn’t open till 6pm.The place takes cards yet when they have taken our order they said they prefer cash so we had to go to withdraw some money. This wasn’t a problem as such however kitchen won’t start preparing your food until you pay. Funny enough after we have paid some guy who ordered over the phone walked in and had no problems of paying by card with DIFFERENT server.Our order was chicken pasanda, chicken balti, rice, saag aloo and naans.Food is ok but nothing to rave about, just a step above from ready melas.Both the meals tasted the same and the dominant taste was onion, not what we expect from Indian.Ok for mid week treat but won’t be returning as the staffs attitude stinks (one member in particular)

The chicken biryanie was awful, I couldn't eat it. It consisted of what appeared to be a handful of frozen veg, with a gloopy, really thick gravy like and tasteless sauce. The rice wasn't so bad but the chicken was sparse and dry. The 2 samosas were the smallest I've ever seen and definitely not worth £1.47 each! On a plus note, my partner loved his vindaloo and ate the lot. Which is why I gave a generous 2 stars.

Best curry house in gloucester, great food & service, it's BYO drink so if you run out then just pop over the road to the co-op or tesco express.

Always go to Balti Hut for Indian takeaway as I find my order to be consistently good and ordering directly on their website you get a small discount. They always seem to throw in a free poppadom, salad and mango chutney and delivery time is pretty good. Touch wood, never had any problems

Would have five stars before but visited recently and I was disappointed with the service.My friend asked if our time was limited, the waiter said "2 hours but we would like you to go in 1 1/2 hours if you can" We were rushed th he whole meal, different waiters trying to take our food before we'd finished. Although I don't speak their language I could tell from the body language the one in charge was telling the others to hurry us up!They were very busy with takeaways.My friend was quite intimidated and was afraid to have a second wine in case we went over time.It was a shame as we used to visit often and hadn't seen each other for months.The 3 stars were for good food and portions as usual. We also like to take our own wine. Convenient position. Won't be going again.

Excellent food. The staff there are very friendly and was really helpful. The owner is brilliant and hospitable. They brought out the food hot and quality was very good. Although it looks like a small restaurant it is a mighty place to go to.

Excellent choice for truly authentic very well prepared food and tastes amazing.
