Bangkok Canteen in Gloucester

Gorgeous Thai food with every thought given to flavour and quality ingredients. This could be a bib gourmand restaurant I’m sure. Great for a date or birthday treat.

We ordered a selection of dishes from the menu tonight and it was a flavour explosion. We really enjoyed it only disappointment was finishing it. You can tell from the menu that they take a lot of care in the ingredients they choose for their dishes. As one of us was gluten free knowing that the whole menu was GF made ordering so easy would recommend to anyone who wants great tasting Thai food.

What a fabulous spot for dinner! Absolutely delicious Thai food that goes beyond the standard fare (though the usuals are on the menu too if you want to stick to them) - the aubergine dish was a particular highlight. Service was great and we could tell things were freshly made but they didn't take too long to arrive at the table. We were pretty full after our main course but shared a banana fritter for dessert anyway, assuming it'd also be delicious - and we were right. Loved that there were so many vegan options and everything is gluten free (no issues with gluten for us but you could not tell the food was 'free from'). Thank for for the delicious meal!

Food was delicious and service great, butthe portions are small and a bit overpriced.£7.99 for Tom yum - I expected a bowl, butwas disappointed with what seemed like lessthan a cup. It was very flavorful anddelicious, though - as was everything weordered. I'd visit again, just be aware you'llbe spending a pretty pence.I'm an avid reviewer, a chef and restaurantowner myself and after reading theresponses to negative reviews I hesitated toshare my honest opinion as it seems anyonewho leaves anything negative gets ascathing response instead of any type ofresolution or apology. Disappointing to read after we had a good experience.

It's quite expensive, but worth treating yourself here - I had a delicious tamarind aubergine main and an AMAZING dessert involving coconut and taro soaked rice (kind of like the lovechild of rice pudding and dumplings). The lady who served was was very friendly, helpful, and quick, and although there was a large group also in the restaurant we didn't feel we had to wait for long.

As a family with gluten intolerance it was a treat not to have to scrutinise the menu. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Its quite a small place, so we were lucky to get a table, but the size of the place added to the charm.

Amazing food! great variety on the menu, loads of options for veggies or dietary restrictions.Everything was delicious and fresh, with a lovely friendly atmosphere, definitely going again.

Highly recommended restaurant in the center of Gloucester. Staff are friendly and efficient and the food is faultless! Lovely meal!

Visited for the first time with my fiancée as we were attracted by the range of vegetarian and vegan food on offer. It was absolutely delicious, and such a nice restaurant to be in.Excellent red curry, and the tempura veg is fresh and satisfying. We even had a dessert with delicious vegan vanilla ice cream.I love the ethos of the restaurant too, with a solid focus on high quality local produce. A real gem in Gloucester.

First time at Bangkok canteen. We arrived late due to traffic and the staff were wonderfully polite about it. We all had different starters and mains and ordered all of the sides on the menu. Oh my goodness the food is so delicious and tasteful and each dish was so full of flavour that had your taste buds tingling with delight. Its all fresh local sourced food and has a massive gluten free and vegan menu. We shall be back again soon. Thank you for your wonderful service.
