Hallmark in Gloucester

We stayed for 3 nights last week, great location for Cotswold touring and Gloucester city centre.All the staff we came across from reception, house keeping, restaurant, bar and leisure centre were friendly, helpful and always had a smile.Special praise to the restaurant/bar staff who had 2 coach tours to serve dinner at the same time and they coped admirably.Rooms need updating but they were clean and comfortable.Good cooked breakfast choices but it's buffet style and only fried eggs are offered which tend to be under cooked or past their best. I prefer cooked to order with a choice of eggs.Also cereals, croissants, muffins, toast etc available.Dinner menu is good, food is well presented and large portions.Pleasant bar area to relax and unwind after dinner.Nice indoor pool although the water temperature was a tad too warm.

Went here for a wedding and stayed over night in a family room . An hour before the wedding up to the room , no bedding for my children's beds , and only one pull out bed the other was just a sofa , which was so dirty with food down the sides. Were quick to do the beds .Great wedding and great venue with great staff on the day. Brilliant room , room off that with bar and then straight outside if wanted.Brilliant breakfast in the morning.

Lovely staff and an average get away - Dinner was lovely, the steak and the gammon were very nice and I was impressed. The waiting staff were also fantastic.The breakfast in the morning was very poor, very much tasteless, bar the scrambled egg that tasted like fish (not nice). This was a major let down. The carpets in the hotel weren't the cleanest and were a horrible design.The pool area was pretty average. Looks nothing like the pictures online, little more basic. The pool/gym staff were very friendly and accomodating though.All in all, nothing really amazing about the hotel. Nothing really to be wowed about and I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Rooms were good value for money, with a few minor niggles. However the food was fantastic. The risotto and the lamb shank main courses both excellent.Service was amazing and the staff helped with whatever questions we had.Would recommend.

Stayed here with my partner for our anniversary, we had an amazing time. We both work in the industry so know how rough it is. All the staff we had the pleasure of meeting were fantastic loved meeting Abi, Josh and Dean and the others. Honestly couldn't of had a better time. The room was nice and clean, it was a little hot but the room came with a fan already inside which was a good touch. Again thank you to all the staff you were all so lovely! Hopefully see you guys again soon ☺️😋

Had a wonderful 3 night stay. Excellent breakfast that could not be faulted particularly good veggie options. Dinner was very good as well. Beetroot burger was sublime. The mushroom risotto was packed with flavour. Room was spartan but hit all the right notes other than no fridge or safe. Only let was the orthopedic bed that meant we did not sleep very well. Leisure facilities were the best in 3 spas, sauna and steam room. Pool was at right temperature as well. Not crowded even though it was half term. Will return and ask for softer beds next time.

We stayed for 2 nights. On our arrival we was early which was fine, so had a cheeky drink in the bar whilst waiting for our room. No one on reception at first, but then we managed to speak to someone. We were told no rooms were available and had to wait, which we accepted because of being early. I asked again at 2.45pm as Check in was at 3pm, to be told no rooms available again, the receptionist who was not helpful at all told us to stay in the bar and she would get us when our room was ready. My husband went to reception at 3.35 to be told by a lovely lad called josh that our room was ready and had been for a while. He is a proper credit to the hotel, his customer service skills are 5 star. Other than that our stay was pleasant, the food was lovely, we had a 3 course meal both nights and I highly recommend the salmon.We slept extremely well both nights, only a few people talking loud in the corridors on their way to their rooms, which you normally hear in any hotel.We will definately stay again.

Booked a child-free spa break away with a friend for a Saturday night. The break included a spa treatment each, a cocktail, sparkling wine, 3 course dinner and breakfast. After reading a few negative reviews I had set the bar low, but it was great! Service was perfect, room was very clean and very quiet. Spa staff were very helpful with telling us the best times to come if we wanted a quiet swim. Food in the restaurant was really tasty - waiting staff were informative about allergies (my friend has a food allergy) and they accommodated amazingly with no compromise. Would definitely recommend this hotel - will be coming back for sure! Poor area and changing rooms checked regularly and were clean and tidy. Please do not let the negative reviews put you off - deffo worth the money and would stay again for sure.

We had a lovely stay, hotel was very clean and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Josh who was on reception made us feel very welcome on arrival and spent time going through everything we needed to know during our stay such as opening times and contact details. We had a lovely swim and the pool area was spotless. Our evening meal (3 course) was fantastic. We would definitely stay again

Nice hotel room although no disabled hand rail in bathroom which needs to be fixed because that's a risk for disabled visitors. The Disabled walkway from disabled parking not well illuminated or signposted not very clear in darkness. But I'm assured that will be fixed soon. Nice staff the Jamaican lady and Emma were very helpful. Was told had managed parking fees turns out this was not done.
