Miller and Carter Steakhouse in Gloucester

The food was very tasty and I would recommend the beef dripping gravy with any steak and I personally enjoyed the mackerel pate as a starter, my husband had the gluten free chicken and dauphinoise potato but commented that there was not enough of the potato with it. The rest of us had steaks which were cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed, I would love to know how you do the onion loaf. The only problem was the "alcohol free" cocktails we were told had some alcohol in them when we ordered them for the children and this was not made clear on the menu. My husband and I like an alcohol free cocktail as well as we do not drink alcohol we could not have one either. I feel that they should be labelled low alcohol and not alcohol free on your menus to avoid this confusion.

You can have a hearty meal in this place. Everything is efficiently run. Food was good and a good selection on the menu as well.That night we were too full to enjoy a desert. Having seen good deserts/cakes on offer, the following day we went back for tea and enjoyed some of those delicious sweets!

Really tasty food and drinks for the price. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Even when the restaurant is busy, it still feels like you have your own space. Big portions and the food comes out quickly and hot. This was an enjoyable meal to have after a big shop at matalan and on a rainy day.

First time visiting this M&C and not disappointed at all.... nice atmosphere and as always very enjoyable food, the fillet and ribeye was delicious 😁

Enjoyed the steak...! Ordered rib eye, medium and was not disappointed.Warm atmosphere -was not too flashy or loud.Crum Brulee dessert-sweet little treat-that was not overwhelming on sugar load.

They forgot the chutney for our starter, which was a very cheap tasting camembert.The steak wasn’t very fresh. It smelled a little bit.The music in the background was like if we were in H&M. Not particularly romantic or relaxing.I would expect better quality for £100…

Excellent service from the moment you walk through the door. Food was well worth the money

Christmas day dinner with the family. Service slow but very busy in the restaurant. Food amazing. Mix up with my brothers order but management came over and sorted it out and my brother only waited extra 10miniutes. And given free drink. The staff was attentive and pleasant. All in all lovely experience.

Just got my first takeaway from here and it was all great, steak perfectly cooked. As someone who is not yet comfortable dining in public, places like these that can offer a takeaway menu equivalent to that of a nice resteraunt are just such a treat! Yes its on the pricey side but its all amazing quality, well cooked, and well presented/packaged. Will defo be ordering again!!
