Nepalese Chef in Gloucester

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful and tasteful decor. Absolutely gorgeous food. A very enjoyable evening was had by all.

Tasty food but distant service. Hard to attract the attention if so many staff, even in an open room. Lemon rice was ordered but coconut delivered instead and the waitress insisted it was lemon. All of us disagreed but she wouldn't swap it. Was it worth doing that?

First time we have been here and can honestly say what a lovely restaurant, our food was amazing, starter deep fried prawns was amazing, our mains lamb korma, sweet&sour chicken with special rice was beautiful, the staff went above and beyond, will definitely be back 😊

Food and service ok no complaints, just that I've had better but way worse so wouldn't object if I was asked to eat there again.

As always had a lovely meal, at the Nepalese Chef the other Saturday, great value, staff were very friendly, will be going back again.

Genuinely amazing food, and as always very polite, efficient service. Not worth losing a star but worth noting: the food can be a little bit spicier than standard curry houses, but they have plenty of mild options on the menu.Personally would recommend the Butter Chicken main, as it's creamy/mild but packed with beautifully intense flavour.

Good selection of dishes. All the ones you might expect plus the range of Nepalese dishes. Had the fish dishes and they were excellent as always. Nice accompaniments and drinks. All in all good value.

Visited on a very busy Friday with my daughter - tip if you want to go on a match day definitely book ahead ;-) If you need to drive, there is very limited parking at the restaurant or local area. Service was good despite the restaurant being full and food excellent. Will be going back 👍

Don't come here with a large group. 7.30 booking. Half got food at 9.15. rest at 9.30. if you want people to pre-order or order from a set menu, that's fine, but don't let them turn up and order and make them wait 2 hours, it's unacceptable. On top of that, had to return a main because asked for mild and it was nearly took my face off for spice. I don't know Gloucester well, but there's surely better Indian restaurants you can go to.

We had a dinner party with colleagues from work for a pre-celebration of the Diwali Festival. I have to say it was one of the best nights in my life. We had so much fun. The service, the food and even the cost of it was absolutely incredible. The food comes a little bit spicy depending on what you are ordering, but the portions are big and they keep you full for long time. When one of my colleagues asked me what I think about the food, I’ve simply replied: “I’m in Heaven!”
