Lovely breakfast, warm welcome caters for GF which was great. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Delicious and home cooked

While visiting from Canada we had the pleasure to stop and eat at this place. Fantastic home cooked food excellent value and great friendly staff. Very happy to recommend this fine establishment for all to enjoy.

·

Lovely little cafe tucked away by the cathedral. Only negative for us was the toilet facilities were a little cramped for nappy changing duties (had to be done on the floor) but that wouldn't stop us visiting again. 👍

Had to get table cleared to get a seat, ordered food and drinks for 5.Food came out at different times only 5 minutes or so between fry ups and pancakes so not too bad.One set of pancakes was meant to be banana and Nutella but they had no ripe bananas so didn’t put on and the chocolate spread was definitely not Nutella but some cheap alternative.Pancakes were warm and best and fry ups seemed to be lacking temperature.Service was slow / unenthusiastic at best with a apron of young staff spending most the time away from front of house. Also slightly shocked to find a staff member walking around the back and front of house with a caterpillar on her arm and thinking it was funny. Took a while to pay as no staff at front of house. Service was overall quite poor and the food not that great either. probably won’t be returning.

Fantastic little restaurant. Right by the Gloucester Cathedral. Lovely friendly stuff. Real full english breakfast! Will be back soon.

·

Wildly overpriced, close to ÂŁ6 for two slices of bread, a slice of ham, a sprinkle of cheese and some bag salad.

·

Lovely friendly welcome, absolutely stunning breakfast that kept me full for the whole day, all enjoyed with a lovely view of the Cathedral.

·

Nice and cosy restaurant, closely located next to the Gloucester Cathedral. The people working hear are lovely, the food tastes great and the atmosphere inside is calm and relaxing.Definitely recommend eating places like here instead of those fast food locations.

We went to this cafe for race week for the first time and now been back 2 more times since to try out the other meals. The breakfast was lovely, the beef roast dinner is delicious and our reaction when the Beef Burger turned up was wow! The staff here are lovely too and made us feel very welcome. They are dog friendly too and even put sausages in a bowl and water down for our little fury friend to enjoy while we were there. We can't wait to try out the Steak night soon Trish!

When I was in residence as organist at Gloucester cathedral for a week two summer’s ago, we decided we should give this place a try somewhat later in our stay. I wondered if the pews came from the cathedral whenever they swapped them for chairs. I’m sorry to say we didn’t try this place sooner, as everything was beautifully done and well seasoned (which is not what I can say for the main pub in town that shall remain nameless, but perhaps they’ve since discovered salt). The lunch is still memorable to this day and the meat and mushroom pie was wonderful. The service was good and it was neat dining on a pew.
