Went in on Sunday 27th for some coffee and cake and was served by a lovely young lady, didn’t quite catch her name but was petite with longer dark hair. lovely service ! would definitely recommend

·

Very good pit spot in the quays. Limited veggie options though. We had the onion bhaji pasty and cream tea. All good and tasty. More veggie options please. Will return

Today l had a bad experience at the Cornish Bakery.I have ordered 2 hot chocolates and 2 croissants take away. We took our purchase and sat outside at one of the shops table. One of the shops staff came out and told us that we can't sit down and drink our hot chocolate there even that we have paid the same price as drinking in. Really disappointed treatment as tourist probably the treatment was different if we were locals

·

Stopped at the Cornish bakehouse the other day, it was quiet but all the staff were super friendly and the coffee was amazing, we will most definetley be returning.

·

Not a nice service from staff members. Tables along with chairs were covered in flaky pastry, not at all clean.

·

Nice food, pleasant enough staff, clean enough. The stars is enough. Not sure why. Possibly the location and big windows, possibly the long bench seat. Id go again happily but didn't have that feel good feeling.

Yeah not bad lo action to eat. The queue was long but the staff seemed to serve very quickly so not waiting to long. Only one moan and that was area to eat outside the shop seemed very congested for people to access tables and this could of been improved by them organising ta les better near to entrance

it was a cold and rainy Saturday and I, like just about everybody else in Gloucester Quays, craved warmth and sustenance. There was a queue into the shop but I was drawn in by the delicious smell of pasties so decided to try The Cornish Bakery. The staff were all working like crazy, trying to keep up with the demand. I had being going to order a pasty but when it came to my time to order, found myself ordering the goats cheese and chorizo Spanish omelette. I don't know what possessed me when the pies were clearly very fresh and looked so enticing, but it just felt more brunchy. I asked for it to be heated. I also ordered cappuccino and Portuguese custard tart.By the time I sat down, the omelette was nearly cold. It was kind of ok, but I didn't feel like finishing it, despite being hungry, and have to say it's still repeating on me five hours later, which doesn't seem right. The custard tart tasted nice but had an eyelash in it, which was a bit off-putting. The coffee was disgusting - very bitter (and lukewarm). I do know my coffees, having brewed my own for thirty years or more, so it wasn't that it was too strong; it just had a most unpleasant flavour and I left it after a couple of sips. So, although this place is clearly popular, I'm afraid I won't be visiting again.

Previous visits have been an absolute delight but this time they ran out of pasties! Also most tables not cleared. Not the staff's fault as they seemed short handed. We think that they produce the finest Cornish pasties and had promised our visiting friends a treat. Sadly disappointed!

Lovely bakery inside the shopping centre and well worth a call in! Excellent selection of hot & delicious traditional pasties etc. and cakes to either eat in or take away, complemented by a good range of hot & cold drinks, especially the hand roasted coffee menu. The staff were friendly and everywhere spotlessly clean. Recommended to visit!
