Rose Tree Farm in Gloucester

Come back in February everything was perfect, so I booked again for my sons 1st birthday, I can’t fault the front house staff they was amazing, but unfortunately I when I ordered my steak I asked for rare as possible, and it arrived well done, so the wonderful manager kindly said she would get them to do another unfortunately again the steak arrived well done, by this point all our family at the table have eaten, and are ready to go, in the end my meal was refunded and i was offered a something different that I took away due to it being so late. The front of house staff was amazing, did everything to make the situation better. The rest of our table enjoyed their food. And apart from the issue with the one meal we had a good time. How happy the staff was when it come to singing happy birthday, it was amazing we will return again.

Popped in on Sunday with the family for a bite to eat. Staff were lovely and helpful. We all had roast dinner and it was wonderful cooked. Marvin was very helpful. We had a couple of large cakes to share and were delighted with how lovely they taste and big they were. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Best Carvery I’ve ever had! Marvin the Carvery chef is a star. He had 3 perfectly cooked meats, a large beautiful selection of veg and everything was well presented and absolutely delicious. The staff here are super friendly and attentive and I would highly recommend a visit. There’s a huge menu including all you can eat breakfast (a.m. only), ice creams and cakes. I will definitely be back. 😁😁✅

This review is only based on the breakfast I have never been here for an evening meal. As far as a buffet breakfast is concerned it was acceptable. Nothing special. It lived up to what I have come to expect when it comes to buffet style service sat under a heat lamp. As for the pay and extra 1:99 for refillable tea and coffee I was disappointed to find the only coffee on offer was filter coffee and to get a refill I had to go up to the bar and ask for it. A coffee machine available for customers to fill their own and more choice of coffee for example latte and cappuccino would improve this option dramatically

Very pleasant and the staff were polite and friendly. Had the small carvery, because we're on a diet. The amount of meat we received would have been great for a standard meal. The veg was really good and plenty of it. Lots of choices.

Quite good experience for me here.I was in the area and decided to pay a visit to this GreeneKing pub.I ordered battered fish and chips and a slice of cake.Fish wasn't the best I had but the cake.. massive and really tasty!There is room for improvement in their customer service skills, waitresses more interested in chatting rather than helping customers.But overall it was a good experience.

Excellent 5*****Visited rose tree many times before, and manager very rude to customers , he had no respect and did not listen to customers so we stopped coming . Visited tonight on the off chance of improvement, and definitely 100% better. The NEW manager Tom was great ,very approachable, he took the time to talk to guests . The interaction with him and the staff was lovely to see. The staff were very helpful and friendly , could not fault them - that’s the result of a great manager. Food was hot, presentable and yummy. And the desert , we’ll absolutely delicious. Tom you are a well deserved credit to the rose tree , a venue can only work as well as the manager and the team, and you guys are smashing it.See you guys tomoro as we are very happy to return.And lovely to see Jodie again , such a lovely lass

Visited today and had a lovely carvery dinner. Got a nice table /booth near the carvery. Had roast gammon, absolutely lovely big thick portions. Excellent selection of vegetables lovely roast potatoes however my dad doesn't like pepper so it would be nice if there was a choice of roast potatoes with pepper and roast potatoes without pepper /seasoning especially as there was 2 pots of roast potatoes anyway. But lovely meal.

After seeing mixed reviews for Rose Tree Farm I was always really reluctant to go, my mum and dad went recently and said they had enjoyed it, with it being my mums birthday today I decided to join them for a meal. Honestly, I have no idea why this place has so many bad reviews, on walking in you're greeted by happy staff, we were served by a lady at the bar with an owl tattoo, I didn't catch her name, sorry, she was lovely, happy and smiley and nothing was too much trouble, I'd forgotten what I wanted for pudding and she was happy to grab me a menu so I could have a quick look. We were all having the Carvery and she said they were just waiting on some of the meats but would let is know when to head up. We sat in a booth opposite the Carvery and could see the staff working hard on preparing the area, in particular, I believe his name is Marvin, was very good at his job, making sure everything was laid out perfectly and ensured the staff knew what they were doing, he even checked all the signs were correct at the front, he was actually very busy today, you could tell and he just would not leave the area until he was happy, you can tell he is very passionate about his job, this comes across with his whole personality, checking customers were happy, even when he went on a break, a very quick one may I add, he was back filling up and making sure the food was presented well. He was smiling throughout and you can just tell that he loves what he does. Once we had finished he asked us if we had enjoyed our meal and we were only too happy to tell him what a brilliant job he does. I would highly recommend Rose Tree Farm, I've changed my opinion of the place based on my experience today. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Rose Tree Farm have THE BEST cakes! They are enormous and delicious! The Carvery is also very nice. The menu is pretty standard and the price is affordable. The Staff are very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the service is so slow here.. I've been back numerous times and its always been the same. Definitely worth booking a table if you want to attend.
