Ruby Cantonese Takeaway in Gloucester

Won't be going there again . ordered a meat free meal n& arrived home with meal of chicken, beef, othermeat's & prawns YUK Disgusting meat makes me very ill unable to tolerate meat . Took photos & as I am vulnerable I haven't been out for a while ,went back yesterday and they don't want to know , frightening with food issues I have would have put me in hospital

Probably the worst Chinese I've had in a long while. Spent almost £80 and barely ate any of the food. Special fried rice consists of plain egg fried rice with mixed chop suey seperate, not what I asked for. Ribs too salty, prawns all battered and not tasty at all.

The foods was ok, but the Indian delivery driver with a yellow car was Rude and a bit Sly , he is lucky running a Way , my husband just about to Knock him out. Never order agains because the driver was horrible.

I have been using this takeaway for a long time and can honestly say, I've never had a problem with them up until Saturday night when I ordered, crispy chicken with pineapple. I specifically left a note for the kitchen asking for the chicken to be dry in the container, without that sickly sweet sauce that they drown it in, as advertised on the menu board. It was delivered with the SOGGY chicken swimming in that sickly sweet sauce . Not happy nor was the person who the crispy chicken was intended for. Meal ruined. Phoned the kitchen to make them aware of their mistake and surprise surprise NO ANSWER.WONT BE USING THEM AGAIN UNLESS I GET A FREE MEAL AND AN APOLOGY IN PERSON .

The man who serves is miserable!! He throws your money 💰 at you no please or thank you . The salt and pepper chicken is always dry as so is the sea weed stale!!! Very poor service

This was my first experience of using this takeaway. I ordered on the phone and was told my meal would be ready in ten minutes. I arrived to find my meal was ready and was still hot when I got home.I had ordered a chicken curry with boiled rice. The portion size was great and the flavour of the sauce was very good. Unfortunately the chicken was inedible. Every piece appeared to be coated in fat and the meat reconstituted. It was like eating bland chewy glue.I will not be using this takeaway again. There are many better options, including waiting for my favourite to open later in the week.

Been ordering from Ruby for ages and have always had a really good meal but tonight it was positively disgusting the spring roll was soggy. The won tons were soft. The crab claws weren't crisp The food was all cold. It was really horrible.

It may have been an 'off' night, but the food was distinctly average & the customer service unfortunately a lot worse!The guy serving was rude & abrupt.......didn't even say thank you when we paid or then collected our food!Suffice to say, we shall take our business elsewhere in future!

Just had a take away from this restaurant, absolutely disgusting the chicken in the chow main and curry and sweet n sour balls still had a clear film over them hence not cooked. Couldn't eat for fear of being I'll

Terrible, awful quality and flavour. Very cheap and low quality ingredients. Took a couple bites of each item and threw it all in the trash and ordered a pizza instead. Could not even stand to finish any of it. It was that bad. Do not waste your money here. There are better options in Gloucester. Try Lim Kitchen instead. Much better quality. Yuck!
