The Food here is delicious! We had a few of the starters and main dishes and all was amazing. Our experience was slightly tarred by the service...our waiter was having a bad day for sure, he was rude, argumentative and downright obnoxious. Its a pity, as we would probably have stayed there for the rest of the night, but instead went to the restaurant opposite for dessert and more drinks as he just ruined the whole experience at the Med. The other staff seemed really lovely to their patrons, so maybe next time we will ask for a different waiter!

Fantastic food was enjoyed here. Bar far the best kebab I have ever had. The chicken was juicy and full of flavour, the bread was stuffed with herbs and spices. And the yoghurt dip was so nice I asked for more. The spicy cous cous went really well with the chicken. All in all a fantastic meal.

1st visit to The Med last night, booked a table very late in the day but space was available. Restaurant decorated beautifully and lovely and clean. Served by a new member of staff and she did very well on what must have been her 1st or 2nd night working. Food was absolutely delicious, very filling and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning to sample more of the menu 😊

Visited the restaurant for a family meal. There were 19 of us and we had fabulous service! Really friendly and accommodating. Very impressed! Food was lovely too!! The hummus was gorgeous and I had a lovely beef burger, great quality ground beef mince. Desserts were also gorgeous! Lovely location with a view of the boats on the canal! πŸ‘

The Med was a wonderful experience.Went with family and had the lamb meatball spaghetti. The lamb was so beautiful and tender and not greasy! Had the churros for desert, they were the best I had tasted the chocolate sauce also seemed particularly nice, didn't taste cheap. The waiters/waitresses were absolutely wonderful, very kind and smiley. Service couldn't be faulted. The cocktails are also wonderful. They even made me a decaf espresso martini. Will be going back.

Wandered in for a spot of lunch today and was not disappointed. Menu has a great selection of tapas and meze and prices extremely keen considering the location. Food was excellent- the stuffed vine leaves are the best I’ve eaten. Portions are generous and the setting and ambience hit the spot. Friendly service on top and it’s a five star review from me. Winner.

Amazing!! Delicious food, in a relaxing surrounding. Would be brilliant to come here during warmer weather and sit outside by the water.

The place is huge and there is plenty of space inside for large gatherings. The menu is varied and contains vegetarian as well as meat based dishes. We went for the platter of 4 where it contains all meats, chicken, lamb and I believe beef. It cake with 4 side, we chose 1 rice, 1 couscous and 2 chips. It didn't take long for the food to come but when it did, you can tell it was made with quality and care. The food tasted excellent! Definitely worth the price of Β£50.The service was excellent, the gentleman and lady who served us were very welcoming, polite and friendly. It's great when they make an effort with the little ones.We came when it wasn't busy but a good sign when you have excellent food and service.Parking can be issue as the docks car park seems to be quite full.Overall, I highly recommend everyone to visit this place. We will definitely be back!

21 August 2021:Went here for a evening meal with our friends who had been before although this was our first time to The Med Kitchen. We absolutely loved it.The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout and we booked a table on the inside with views of the Gloucester Docks/Basin to the outside. Our meals were amazing and delicious and my pint of Estrella Damm on tap was pretty good considering I'm a Camra real true ale drinker! The Tekena Merlot, Whispering Hills White Zinfandel and Stowford Press cider on tap drinks were excellent. As starters, we had two rounds of Focaccia with Olive oil & Balsamic dip and a round of the Med Chicken Wings. Our four mains were: Beef Burger, Half Grilled Chicken, Grilled Seabass and the Grilled Marinated Lamb (Lahem Meshwi) with Couscous, all delicious and good portions. No one wanted a desert as they were still full from their meals but I needed to have a desert as I have a sweet tooth and went for two scoops of the Madagascan Vanilla Gelato Ice cream...so refreshingly delicious and perfect to finish with..We boaters call The Med Kitchen "The Rusty restaurant" albeit with admiration to it's rusty appeal and charm. The interior decor was warm and modern and the outside seating area was appealing as well and attractive.A big shout out and thank you to all the staff and especially Arturo, Neve (Niamph), Suleiman and Robin (owner). We had a really good evening, food was a delicious delight and thanks for such a great experience.Great restaurant, great staff and great location....definitely recommended!
