After me and my partner settled into our room and took a shower, two men walked into our room. Apparently they were booked in for the same room and given the key card to our hotel room. The hotel room sorted it out and gave them a room elsewhere however it didn't half make us anxious. Other than that the shower was full of mould, there wasn't any shampoo or body wash provided so we had to go out and buy our own which was unexpected especially as we were only there for one night, the heating didn't work and the place was just generally unclean.

I stayed in the travelodge last year but found it was quite a walk away from the centre, this time I stayed here and I can already say.... this place is much better. room was double the size, bathroom was double the size, shower was powerful which I loved and the beds, even though they were singles and you could fit 2 double beds in, we're comfy as anything u had a great night's sleep! there's even a fridge, microwave, kettle, plenty of space to get dressed and wasn't loud around at all, very thick walls that I couldn't even hear people walk out the door and we were on the ground floor near reception. no parking however park in the longsmith multi behind, £6 a day and u can renew it on the app. receptionist was great for helping me with this.highly recommended if you visiting. only thing I would say, bring your own shampoo because there wasn't any haha

Booked to stay in this hotel for 3 nights. On the first night the heating wouldn’t come on. This was about 6pm when I checked in, complained to the receptionist, she came and tried to turn the heating on, after 30 minutes I’m still freezing in my room, I call her back and she comes and tried something again, said to give it time, we went back and forth till 10pm. I was so tired from work and had to be up early the following morning I just gave up especially as she wouldn’t give me another room as I requested. I slept in the cold and checked out the following morning. When I asked for a refund the receptionist (a new one) said it had been documented the night before that they fixed the heating so they are unable to give me a refund. Almost £200 gone to the bin.

Staff were friendly and great when needed. But rooms in main part of the hotel were in dire need or refurbishment and smelt like feces. The floor turned my white towel brown. I was moved to the courtyard rooms which were lovely, clean and spacious. I was here for a week and if I had to spend that week in the first room I'm not sure I would have stayed.

Nice, clean hotel in the centre of Gloucester. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room (twin bed) turned out to be the accessible room on the ground floor and opened onto the courtyard. It's a really good size, with a wet room with walk-in shower.

Comfortable friendly and in the heart of the town. Clean and the room was well equipped. Microwave. Fridge, kettle, hair dryer and large shower. Complete with tea, coffee and sugar options. Beds were fresh and comfortable.

Really happy with this choice of hotel. A lot of character. Looks like it used to be part of an old horse stables but with complete refurbishment. Well located near highstreet. Easy walking distance to pubs, shops, takeaways. The hotel doesn't serve food so adjust expectations accordingly. Rooms come with mod cons, TV, kettle, hairdryer, coffee, tea and milk provided. Some rooms are bigger than others which is to be expected. Room was clean as was bedding. Check in was simple and layout of hotel was clear. In short if you're looking for a place to just rest your head, this is ideal. Will definitely look to book again next time we are in the area.

The room was shabby. There was peeling wallpaper in the bedroom and in the bathroom the wooden bath base was black with mould and there was exposed wiring in a hole in the bathroom ceiling. This may have been from an extractor fan as there was none in there. The bed was comfortable but not the pillows. It was very hot in the room and the only way to try and cool down was a desk fan.On researching I discovered that this hotel somehow is a three star establishment but I don’t know how.On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful and the decor was nice.

Prior from arriving from this hotel I was looking forward to arriving as on the website it looked liked a lovely hotel. When we arrived at reception the receptionist was beyond rude but we were very tired so tried to not let her dampen our spirits, unfortunately our stay at the hotel took a turn for the worst when we got to our first room the moment we opened the door an eye watering stench struck us in the face we went to the bathroom and found that the toilet hadn’t been flushed as there was a human waste inside both number 1 and 2. When I came back into the bedroom I found my infant son playing with a used razor blade that he found on the floor. The windows wouldn’t close, the bedding had stains and hair on it. The furniture hadn’t been updated in about 70 years and there were people who were clearly under the influence fighting outside all the the night.if it wasn’t for my children being there I would have slept in my car overall worst hotel experience of my life. But there was a Samsung tv which was great but there was no remote.

Nicely sized rooms and you also get a fridge and microwave as well. Great location with a couple of parking options within a short walk. The shower drain was a bit blocked and didn't drain brilliantly. The pedal bin was also a bit damaged with the lid hanging at an angle. Otherwise quite decent.
