The Quedgeley Fryer in Gloucester

Chips were gritty, fish was okay but a bit soggy, the whole place smells revolting this place needs a deep clean. It’s been this way for weeks they really need to start freshening the place up a bit. I will not be returning on my usual regular basis anymore. Staff on the other side seem friendly enough.

Ordered my husband a cheeses burger and chips. He said its the best burger he's had for ages. Friendly staff as well. Thank you

Great food and friendly service as always. Although Revisited today, 8/1/22 Phoned through order as usual. Got home and 1 portion chips missing from order. Rang to complain, to get a credit back on card. No can do. Has to be a free portion on my next visit. Poor lady on own serving etc. And 2 men behind the scenes shouting at her. Not great for the customer to see.

Good fish and chips but delivery and service charge 3.50£ way too much

Though used to be a good chip shop, they can’t cope with the orders they get on a Friday night so even ordering in advance, and going to the collection point you just get left standing there. 25 minutes watching orders come and go. Such a shame that they’re allowing their own popularity become the reason they lose custom. If People have to wait so long they may as well travel slightly further afield and still take less time to receive their order.

Been going for years and always have been the best fish supper in the area. But recently been a little inconsistent with quality and portion control. Past couple visits, chips were super soggy and luke warm and inconsistent portions.

Fish and chips are good but a bit pricey. Staff no overly attentive. There is better in the area but if they happen to be most convinent for you it's not a bad choice.

Beautiful fish and chips and you can order directly in advance without queuing. Sometimes they are very pressured by having to fulfill delivery driver orders and make (occasional) mistakes on our order.

After moving to Kingsway last week, we have just had our second fish & chips...both meals were excellent and cannot be faulted.Today I phoned my order in and collected...it was ready when I said I'd be there, accurate to the order and again very nice.I will look forward to many years of takeaways from these guys...thank you!!

Almost always friendly. Telephone orders welcomed. Consistently high quality and standards.Sometimes questionable consistency on portion size. That’s being said; regardless we will still travel to here instead of visiting a closer to home place.One of two Fish and Chips places in Gloucestershire county that we frequent; the only one in Gloucester itself.
