Paid a visit on Thursday with a group of colleges whilst visiting Gloucester for a meeting. Hands down the best fish and chips we've ever eaten!! It's easy to see why they've won so many awards. We decided to eat out near the grounds of the cathedral although they do have a large restaurant. Awesome staff, very friendly and reasonably priced. If you're in Gloucester - Eat Here!!!

Had a meal from here on Friday. Was asked to give an honest review so here it is...The food arrived within 30 minutes, the driver was pleasant and polite. The food arrived steaming hot and and well wrapped. I added a extra note to request scraps and they gave me a lovely bag of beautifully fried scraps. The fish was well cooked with a crispy batter smothered in salt and vinigar. Just how I like it. The fish was delicious and juicy and was a decent size too. The peas was super hot and nice and mushy. All in all it was a delicious meal and the portion size of the chips was great and very filling. Not too hard and not too soft. Would definitely use again.

I’d been craving fish and chips for a while now and decided to treat us; it didn’t disappoint. Personally it’s the best fish & chips I’ve had in at least a year, my daughter loved her meal too but my son and his girl friend both said the batter was amazing but the fish was a bit rubbery…mine was amazing so I don’t care what they said. Best meal I’ve eaten in a long time and we’re all full and very happy. Thank you!

Legitimately the best restaurant around . Doesn’t matter what I get I end up liking it. My partner and I have been eating here for a few years now. They make the best fish & chips.

Just had delicious cod and chips at Ye Olde Fish & Chip Shoppe. I have fond memories of this place but I haven't been there for many years, it did not disappoint at all!Lovely fish in a crisp batter, generous proportion of chips and a proper mug of tea. Full marks from me 👍

Very clean. Very friendly staff. Great service. I am never able to eat a full portion of fish and chips but I certainly did here. Very tasty. We ate in the restaurant and could here all the customers coming in for takeaway and sounded like a friendly bar. Highly recommended
