The room had a broken window and a leak in the toilet. The bar staff were helpful. However, we feel we should have been advised in advance that the establishment was closed on Sunday evenings, which meant we could not have dinner there when we arrived.

Disappointed. Last time we ate great food upstairs it what is now the sofa area. So just an ordinary roadside room with ordinary food. Never had such ordering confusion. Won't come again.

It was a very slow wait for the food (50 mins). The food was doing the job, the duck had a very good texture and taste. As the burgers where too greasy also with the fish and chips. Over all it was an okay restaurant.

I would give this place 5 stars if wasn't for the creaking floors and the general noise, The bedroom room was good, nice comfortable bed,the bar is great, drink's were excellent, nice staff especially the girl on breakfast service, breakfast was top notch, I'd come back but only if there was a quiet room option.

Food was very good but prices for red wine a bit high. Buy a bottle if more than one person drinking same colour wine. Also added to bill was service charge so check before leaving a tip.

A restaurant seems questionable when you have to go through to the rather camp Cocktail Bar, just to get seated. The service here was appalling. Very slow service for drinks and food perhaps a ploy to make sure you eat what is served through hunger pains.Cheap steak served cold and under cooked sliced for you as the steak knives are non existent. Very overpriced thinks it's something it certainly isn't.. The waiter was so camp and irritating when he bothered to serve us and was argumentative when I questioned how I was supposed to cut steak with a butter knife. The food served was best described as bloody awful. The management don't seem bothered.Save yourself some money a microwave meal at spoons is better than this

We ate at Archangel for a Saturday night family meal having considered a few local untried restaurant's in Frome and not having been to Archangel before. Although we find a lot of pubs and eatery venues giving off a similar look and feel through online website pictures, Archangel was the real deal. The adults meals were the burger, steak pie and fish of the day. Everything was superb. The fish was particularly excellent, done in a thai style curry and with extra spice added at my request. The room had a lovely feel from an open fire. Unfortunately there was an issue getting an ice-cream order to the table in good time, we're not sure what the issue was. In general the venue is pretty cool and I'm looking forward to visiting kid free next time.

Lovely hotel, lovely room! The location is great, we love Frome. Staff were wonderful, breakfast was good and there was a great little buffet selection too. Would definitely stay again! Thank you ❤❤

·

Lovely staff and lovely venue. Slightly on the pricey side. Paid £26 for a whiskey and a cocktail. But otherwise a very nice place

Absolutely stunning venue. A main bar area then lots of cosy separate rooms with only a few tables, ideal for an autumn pint with friends! Delicious food, are both lunch and dinner there. Crab Mac and cheese is incredible. We booked the library room upstairs for a work event over two days, budget friendly and what a cool room! Visited near Halloween hence the spooky decor in the photos 😁
