Charming pub, really good food served by friendly staff.

We had a lovely time at this pub. It’s got a nice local feel to it but with a few modern twists. The staff were helpful and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Apart from the usual pub grub menu there are a few pleasant surprises - I had the tuna and it was delicious. Good local ales were a bonus.

The young lady on the bar was friendly and welcoming. The room was ready for us to check-in....all but the towels.....which we had to ask for. The room was clean....though the toilet seat was threatening to fall off. We were told that milk for our morning coffee would be left in a flask on the table outside our room. Unfortunately this was not the case. We paid £70 for the privilege and no breakfast was included.

Beautiful cozy pub with great selection of drinks. We both had lasagne for main and we both said it's probably the best lasagne we've ever had! Plus garlic truffle chips and we had KFC style chicken and garlic mushrooms and spinach on toast both of which were delicious. Would highly recommend!

Very friendly lads behind the bar who fetched the landlady who checked me in smoothly and efficiently. Rooms was lovely and well laid out with a coffee pod machine, kettle and fresh milk etc. The bathroom was excellent with a rainfall shower head and the bed was extremely comfortable. I didn't eat in the pub, but, the food looked delicious. I just had a few beers and chatted to the friendly staff and customers. Thoroughly recommended.

What a gem! Lovely old country pub. Not busy at all after lunch on a Saturday, has its own car park, and lots of areas to explore. Good range of drinks (although we didn't try any food).

Had a nice couple of drinks in this cosy winter pub when staying at a nearby Airbnb. This place was warm and inviting. We didn't eat here but I'd be keen to try next time we're back.

Delicious food, the menu is changed often and alway has great choices. Have been coming here for a few years now, highly recommend.

The food is delicious. Extensive menu makes it hard to make a choice. Means having to go back again to try something else. It's a lovely oldie world pub. The background music was right up my street. The staff are friendly and helpful. First class.

Lovely pub. Great food. Excellent time piece in the dining room. Service was prompt and we were impressed with the attention (caring yet not overbearing). The menu was reasonably priced and varied. The decor added positively to the dining experience. I'd go back again tonight if I was in town and would recommend The Cross Keys to anyone. Book ahead. There are a few rooms (en suite) for those looking for a room to stay. The car park is around to the rear of the property.
