So I don't normally complain but it was the first time I had Sunday carvery lunch at the crossways and I was very disappointed as I paid £14.95 for very rude under trained front of house staff and very bland food and the worse thing is that I have worked in the industry for 10 years with all different types of people and ages and I have never ever experience such bad hosting and a meal for that price. As you can see myself and friends have agreed not to eat here again which is such ashame

Very few establishments similar to The Crossways. In the middle of an attractive nowhere you discover a hotel, a restaurant, a bar and a beauty salon-all of high calibre. (Lucky well groomed and well fed residents of North Wootton.) A good menu, a good range of ales and plush accommodation should you need it. Attractive modern interior if not exterior. The loos alone would merit 5 stars and if you are a gent, will leave you laughing...(Hopefully) A great venue and worth a visit if you find yourself in the Glastonbury area.

The reason I have given such a low review is because the hotel was not anything like what was advertised. There were very few people working there, so much so the bartender was also the receptionist.. They advertised a jacuzzi, there simply was not one. They did not offer room service and the bar itself was only open for a few hours of the day. The only reason it has retained 2 stars is because the room, despite being dirty and outdated, did have fresh towels and a large (quite uncomfortable bed) and the hotel was in a quite good location.Would not recommend.

Really happy 😊 Had an evening meal this Wednesday with my mum and eldest daughter to celebrate my mum's birthday. Wonderful menu and tremendous sweet dishes to round off a very pleasant evening. Thank you

We had the Avalon suite. Disappointed that there was no room service as we were told by previous guests there is. Bedroom was pretty dirty. The hot tub hadn't been heated before arrival so we didn't get to use it until the next morning at 7am when we booked the room for the hot tub. They should pre heat and put the lid on so it is warm enough to use before guests arrive. Food wasn't that nice. Standard pub grub pizza wasn't amazing chips could have been cooked at home. Meals were nothing like the photos advertised on Facebook. No cocktails available as there was a Christmas party there which I don't see why that would affect it. We paid 350 for the room for 1 night and couldn't even get a cocktail. Wouldn't stay again not worth the money

Lovely food. Would have been 5 stars if the condiments and veg came out first because I couldnt wait to eat the lush roast they served up. Definitely reccomend

A great place to stay also a great place to hold any function. All of the staff here are extra friendly and helpful. A massive bar area multiple function rooms. We have stayed here four times now with a great experience every time. The bridle suite is lovely with four poster bed very large jacuzzi bath with TV. Large sun terrace with jacuzzi. The four poster room is massive also with jacuzzi bath and a walk in rain shower. The food here is fantastic. I could go on and on as their is no cons about this place.

A very quiet, comfortable and relaxing hotel. The rooms are a decent size, clean and modern and plenty of space for parking.Breakfast is delicious, to a high standard and ordered/received with no fuss and the lady that looks after restaurant is extremely helpful and accommodating. It might be slightly off the main road but don't let that put you off as this place is a hidden gem. We stayed 4 nights so got a good feel for the place.I don't recommend places just for the sake of it so when I give Crossway 5 stars it gives you a good idea of how good our stay was.

Unfortunately, I had to stay at the Crossways Hotel in September. This hotel is certainly not 4 star, a low 3 at best. The staff are as confused as the décor, the restaurant is outdated, serving low quality food, which is cooked and presented poorly. The bar staff are happy to serve flat lager and drinks, showing they clearly have no pride in their work. The basics of the hotel are not met, we had to request that the room be cleaned, as there were cobwebs with numerous dead flies that needed to be removed. Coffee and tea supplies, had to be requested daily, to be then removed by the cleaners, then for the staff bringing the wrong items after they were requested. No phone to call reception in the rooms. The room we had booked was disappointing to say the least. It was very sad, tired and grubby. The room was a far cry from the description and photos displayed on the website.Staff throw remains of drinks over the terrace, leaving it smelly and sticky. The breakfast consists of cheap meat and not much of a breakfast to speak of. Drunken guests slamming doors and arguing on the weekend till 2.30am, even after being asked to be quiet and to go away several times. The saving grace of this hotel is the restaurant manager Dawn, clearly passionate about her work and the experience people have at the establishment. However, this cannot be said for the general manager Derrick, who has an appalling manner. They have no complaints procedure even though having guests complain every day over a variety of issues and problems they were also experiencing. Derrick seems to take any criticism personally, unwilling or unable to deal with any issue. However, he did apologise for the terrible experience, but dismissive and rude about any complaint raised. There doesn’t seem to be any communication from the staff to management when there is an issue highlighted. The hotel is a low 3 star at best with ridiculous prices for what they actually offer, I would highly recommend not booking this hotel unless you want to be disappointed.
