Dobbies Shepton Mallet in Mendip

Excellent storeWe have been taking our Labrador puppy there to get him used to people and other dogs in a structured environment and it is awesome, the staff are friendly and the dog & cat section is spot on. Would highly recommend this shop for all your garden and pet supplies.

Only popped in for something to eat, restaurant was nice, had a good fish finger sandwich. Staff seemed stressed, it was quite busy! But they were all pleasant 🙂

First time visiting here . We were wanting to get some breakfast after an 80 mile drive up , early hours of the morning to drop my grampy off to the hospital for an op. We were recommended here for breakfast . Wasn't too impressed! The breakfast tasted okay and was very much needed (hence the 3 stars ) but they had ran out of sausages at 9:30am and they weren't too sure what they were doing.The pot of tea was cold and wasn't sure if it was the teabags or the water . It was noted that it was PG Tips but certainly did not taste like this.The toilets was okay but there was no hand dryer or paper towels .Not to mention whilst we were looking at cushions and vases , we couldn't get near as there was 2 staff members with big storage trolleys in the way .So we gave up in the end and left the store. Not sure we will be coming here again :(

Really lovely garden centre and cafe. They have a small clothing section, books, food and typical outdoor and indoor plants. It is a little pricey but, a nice walk around to pick up something to brighten up the garden.

We went to the coffee shop at 11.15am today (15th) there was only one lady serving and the queue was quite long, we waited patiently and bought a flat white and a hot choc, she apologised for no saucers, and as we are both in our 80,s spilled it a bit. Both were very Luke warm and by now the queue was so long we didn’t,t feel able to complain. Where are all the staff!!!

We had the worst fish and chips ever after our shop. The fish was dry and the chips were hard and by the time we got to the checkout were cold. The system for payment was OK for cakes etc but not hot food.

Not so much a garden centre as a Sainsbury's outlet. The Christmas decorations are hailed as 50% off but on closer inspection it is only a handful of last season's selection covered by this offer. As for the cafe, what is there to say other than 'chaotic'. There's a complete lack of organisation among staff with no-one appearing to be in charge. Tables were left uncleared as the staff ran around like headless chickens. While the queue at the tills of the main shopping area never seem to move. Needless to say l won't be returning any time soon.(19/12/21)

Good food, although the process for actually paying for your food could definitely be improved. It seems to take forever to actually order, receive and pay for your food. This caused huge queues which I have no doubt put some people off staying for food. I also hope the lady that was clearing tables is fully appreciated by her manager as she was amazing, friendly and engaged in conversation regarding what we had been up to before visiting and then showing genuine interest.

Dobbies garden centre, a regular hunt for my wife and I, always plenty of parking, good for wheelchairs and well laid out inside. There is a restaurant were you can get good food and drink. Also has wash room, toilet too. Due to the vivid 19, as most places their rules and guide lines. Nice big area for plants ornament, plant pots ect, everything for your gardening needs. Normally have a good christmas display and a set evening for card holder, not sure what is happening this Christmas, we will have to see. All in all a nice well presented garden centre with i might add friendly staff at hand. Recommend a visit.

Good selection of plants and gardening accessories plus toys and books and of course a cafe/ restaurant.The food is good and freshly prepared on the site.I would like to see quicker table clearing and floor cleaning
