Eco Friendly Bites in Mendip

Good food and drink, easily accessible location from Shepton Mallet or Wells. Little bit noisy from the main road as the windows were open due to the heat but didn't detract from the experience too much.

Uninspired, average fare. Nothing to get excited about. Polite, but not particularly friendly or personable service. Didn't like being sat next to the door in a near empty restaurant. Sitting outside for drinks the busy road was very intrusive, inside it was nicely decorated, they've created a pleasant dining space.Good that it was open and serving food late afternoon when our party needed to meet, but I don't think I'll be going back.

Food was absolutely delicious and arrived so quickly considering we were warned about a possible wait. It was fresh and tasted great! Lady in checkered shirt, I believe she was a manager, was absolutely lovely and so personable as well as the rest of the staff. If I am ever this way again I will definitely be back! And if you are a passing by it would be foolish to miss out!

We found this pub on our way home to Portsmouth after a day at Wookey Hole and we are so glad we decided to stop as we passed. The food was amazing, generous portions and really tasty. We had ham egg and chips, a pork dish and 2 kids meals. All of which was really good.The staff were all really helpful, friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this place.

The outside does not look amazing but don't let this fill you. The staff are great and the food is amazing. And the inside is lovely. Had an amazing Sunday roast here and will be back again

My girlfriend and I come here quite regularly. We enjoy is so much we drive up from Exeter to stay here. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and the rooms are cosy and inviting with beds being some of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, genuinely. I wish I could rate this higher than a 5 to be honest. Oh, the food is incredible.

Has a good atmosphere and staff friendly and polite. Good choice of food on the menu. Really enjoyed my meal and would definitely go back 😋

Really nice people, great place, and amazing food, had an rta just outside the inn, and so grateful it happened there as it was a great place to to wait, and the people in the inn where super helpful and let me leave the keys so the recovery company could come and pick it up and I didn't need to wait until midnight for the recovery truck. When my partner came we decided to eat which was a good decision as the food was amazing, great quality and very well presented. All in all turned what was a drama into a pleasurable experience.

Never being here before. Met here for a surprise birthday lunch with my daughter, son and our grandchildren. The roast was amazing 4 of us had the Mendip Trio roast which was pork stuffed loin,beef and a lamb Wellington it was fantastic.

The most wonderful place , which I have visited. Customer service are so helpful, kindly and understanding. Breakfast boxes are included - fresh and delicious muffins 😍, fruit's, juices , croissants 🤤 shower with bath - I am in heaven 🍀 and bed - oh my Goodness, I can't remember when I was sleeping so good 💌 thank you so much 🍀 highly recommended ! That was a pleasure ! I'm pretty sure, I will be back when I need the place for staying 🍀
