We arrived without a booking at 17:00 on a Saturday evening. We were politely told there were no tables free for 45 minutes which we accepted, however the manageress managed to find us a table for two and we were seated quickly. We were given enough time to review the menu which came with a list of unavailable foods which was very useful. The waitress was very pleasant and took our order efficiently and accurately. Our starters, loaded wedge salad (huge wedge of lettuce with a small amount of bacon) and cheesy filled mushrooms (very small portion but tasty), arrived before our drinks which we had to chase up. Our drinks arrived with an apology. Apparently one of the barrels needing replacing. I had ordered my drink without ice, unfortunately this message hadn't reached the bar and I had to ask for an empty glass to remove the ice, which I received quickly with another apology. Our mains arrived before our starter dishes had been removed (8oz sirloin steak, ordered well done with no pink and Chick n Grill burger with chips swapped for sweet potato fries). While there were no problems with the burger dish, the steak was not well done, still pink, so we returned it to the kitchen (it came with about 12 chips so much smaller than anticipated). It arrived back at the table having been well done, however the rest of the food on the plate had not been kept warm while the steak was cooked. The staff from the manageress to the servers were welcoming and helpful. The food, although well presented was uninspiring, disappointing and not good value for money (even with 25% off).Sadly I don't think we will be visiting another Beefeater.

First time and will certainly not be the last, very good food at a reasonable price and the team of staff was excellent and quality of service was excellent too. Great family experience. Well done

This Beefeater is one of the many branches across the country. Try are literally next door to the premier inn. They have a deal where you can book a, stay dinner and breakfast. You have to try and book a time time save yourself some embarrassment or the typical let me see where I can fit you. They had a list of items they did not have and had to compare that with the normal menu. I ordered chargrilled salmon, it was like 20 minutes they sort of told me but they had to go back and forth between staff and eventually I was told no more salmon available. I had to order a chicken melt instead. I was dissatisfied with this option but I had no other option really. Drinks are a bit expensive to say the least and was not even given a discount. Most people where in one section of the restaurant for some reason

We had excellent service and felt looked after through our time at the Frome Flyer. A nice welcome. The food for four of us all arrived at the same time and was hot.All meals were a good size and thoughrally enjoyed.Well done to all the staff and thank you for making it a pleasant experience.

From the time we entered the restaurant, it gave the sense that it was a little chaotic. Some of the staff seemed untrained in customer service, however they weren’t rude, but just unable to answer questions. Having not been in a Beefeater since before COVID, there seemed to be a marked difference in the menu to what it was previously. I understand why this is, having listened to news reports of shortages in hospitality, but the quality of the food shouldn’t be compromised. The portion sizes were dismal. My wife specifically asked for her steak to be presented well done. What arrived was on the rare side of medium. We asked for it to be done again. It came back looking as if it had been thrown on a griddle for a couple of seconds & sent back out. There were 4 in our party & none of us could really say we enjoyed our meal, either taste or quality. We’ve decided between us that beefeater isn’t what it used to be, & paid our bill of £99 & left disappointed. I don’t think we’ll visit another of their restaurants sadly.

Was great! The only issue being even thought we arrived at 2pm a lot of the roast menu had run out already. But apart from that a nice meal, Dad was happy at it being cheap 🙄, even little Jack ate all his food....Nice relaxed atmosphere where you could just relax eat and chat....👌

The food was amazing and tasted delicious, Phoebe M was our waitress and she got everything right and was very prompt and didn't have to wait long at all. 🍽🥩🦐😋
