Turned up at Morrison’s cafe for a quick breakfast and was severely disappointed. Waited in the queue for over half an hour, the cafe wasn’t full so I have no idea what was taking so long. Social distancing doesn’t exist here, people were very close together - so close that my friend stepped back into somebody. There were loads of staff milling round but nobody said ‘thank you for waiting’ or encouraged social distancing measures. The cakes in the fridge were not covered so anyone could touch the food and then put it back. We were also NOT tracked and traced - the manager approached people sporadically to ask for details but many many many people were missed in the time that we were there. When we got to the front of the queue we were told there would be a further half an hour wait for food - an hour in total from arrival to table service! It would have been good to have been told this at the back of the queue so we could have decided whether we wanted to stay or not - I did say this to the person at the till, but it was ignored. There was a large queue of people behind me that could have saved time. I ordered two large breakfasts and asked to swap a few items. Not only was I told that a standard slice of toast wasn’t included, but that it was also policy not to swap items - I could have items removed and pay extra if I wanted anything to make up the breakfast. In other words, I’d be paying the same amount to have less on my plate. I can only see this as encouraging waste - nobody likes paying for less, so the ultimate result of this will be that wasted food will go back to the kitchen - a truly greedy policy! The person that brought the food was wearing their face mask incorrectly, I.e. not over his nose - the manager was on the floor at this time and didn’t tell them to correct it, even though she spoke to him directly several times. Nobody was wearing gloves and the waitress that brought our food touched my cutlery. Completely unsafe. This place should NOT be open if they are failing to implement safety measures! Oh and the food was cold and the tomato was uncooked. I wasted a whole hour and a half of my life on this shoddy experience.

Very variable service. Breakfast can be prompt and hot or not arrive for 30 minutes on a quiet day. Recent introduction of self ordering terminal slows things down and removal of serviettes all smacks of screwing down on costs at the expense of customer comfort. Also the muzak is pretty awful. I only come here if no other choice now. Coffee is pretty good for a supermarket cafe.

Great breakfast, staff are always friendly.

Friendly and helpful lady in the Cafe Till. Good hot breakfast served quickly, but we realised after eating our meal that the toast was forgotten. Still good value. Have been before and will go again.

The impression is They do very well food wise with the budget they're given but the coffee is revolting. These places are missing a trick. Put a Nero, Costa franchise in here, or at the very least a decent coffee machine, like the one you took out of your petrol station a couple of years ago. I'm afraid you have cut expenses much too close. And it shows.

Food very good but service was rather slow and we had to ask three times for one pot of jam. Shopping was ok although it made things difficult with all the boxes of food left lying around for the shelf stackers. That's a job to be done after the shop has closed.

·

Great price and a full English or big daddy breakfast is great. Clean tidy and quick. Self service order is a great idea and really works for us

Ok if your desperate and there toilets leave a lot to desired. In Wells store the toilets are not clean and seldom checked by stfaff. As Paper work is required to be signed and ever since it opened there it always been the same. Unattended and unclean
