Ploughboy Inn in Mendip

Had been wanting to try this pub for a while, greeting and staff were friendly. The menu was lovely and reasonably priced. Gluten free options not marked but ask on arrival and the staff will let you know. Food was lovely and good value

Lovely food and super barstaff

Called in for swift pint on a Saturday evening and was immediately and abruptly turned out and away. Obviously Covid hasn't affected trade here if potential custom can be so flippantly disregarded.

A proper greeting by the landlord, in a proper pub, serving proper wholesome food, served properly. Oh, and the grounds are lovely!

Fantastic pub, absolutely spotless, so friendly and welcoming and the food is cooked and served to perfection.

Mike and Jackie run a well oiled machine. Their many years of experience in this family run pub means you can expect and receive a genuine and pleasant experience.The menu is good and they stick to what they know. The welcome is 'second to none' and that experience runs right throughout your time with them. Friendly atmosphere and the food tastes fab. Renowned for excellent beers and my hubby says "you won't get a better pint of otter anywhere."

Good pub grub in comfortable surroundings. Wide range to choose from, simple, tasty and good value. Excellent Covid 19 arrangements in place felt very safe. Pleasant reception and service from the owners.
