Found the poachers pocket on off chance, hadn't booked and they gave us a table. Food was amazing, size of meals is great for big eaters. Staff were lovely and service was second to none. Well done to everybody. Such an enjoyable meal. Definately visit again and would recommend.

Very friendly pub with good food and large portions. Make a reservation to ensure you get a table.

We paid £70+ on our meal, i had a baguette but only received the very end crust of a French stick and a bowl of salad which cost the same. Both my children had ‘teddy bear pizza’ but it came out burnt and unable to cut through it with a steak knife! Neither kids ate their meal I don’t blame them for wanting to keep their teeth! Poor service and drinks we didn’t order were put onto our bill, then caused arguments when paying because they were certain we had the drinks 🤬 would not recommend at all.

The staff are polite, friendly and welcoming. The lamb Sunday lunch was cooked to perfection. As for the cheese board it is possibly the best we've had in a long time, and was almost a meal in itself. I would thoroughly recommend eating here but must warn you to phone ahead and book a table because of its popularity. (6/2/22)

Such a lovely country pub, no frills great food. Only one word of warning, you need to fast for 24 hours first, the portions are huge! (Which is a big plus in my book)
