Had a lovely meal. I had a look at the menu on line & had decided i was going to have the lamb but when I looked at the menu in the pub it was different & not to my liking. Ended up having chicken which was very nice. Everyone's meals were enjoyed. The fish & chips looked amazing!

Lovely, cosy pub with a beautiful garden and tasty food. Service was also attentive and polite. The portions could be more generous, we shared an appetiser before main course and both felt we could have eaten more and we're not big eaters. Lemon dessert was delicious.

Used to be our favourite pub but after our most recent experience I doubt we’ll be going back. Made a reservation but got dumped unceremoniously in a back room and forgotten about. When eventually we were able to order we waited over an hour for an overcooked meal, without being offered drinks, and then had to flag down a staff member to wait another 5 minutes for cutlery. No offer of desert or anything and had to find the front bar to pay the bill. Wanted to complain but no on was even interested or bothered to ask how our meal was, just took the rather over-the-top payment for a meal that we could have had better (and quicker) at the local chip shop. Left, literally, with a bad taste in our mouths unfortunately.

Traditional pub with good food and a nice garden. Good stop over on the way down to the south west.

I stayed at the Red Lion for three nights for a business trip. The service we received was fantastic, the team at the red lion could not do enough for us.Breakfast was served at a time that suited us and was always cooked fresh. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The food for evening meals was fantastic, and the team really looked after us.I will make a return visit!

My family and I had lunch there, in the garden. The food was lovely and the service was very good. We meet here about three times a year and it has always been consistently good. Dogs allowed in garden. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended. My partner took me and her Mum out for a joint birthday lunch. A lot of places are closed on Monday, but after a quick glance at the menu online this place seemed like it offered more than just pub grub. All I can say is Wow. We were all very impressed. We had three courses and everyone enjoyed everything. The food is of a very high standard. The place is lovely and the service was spot on. I would love to be able to return to try some of the other dishes on the menu.We all enjoyed ourselves immensely, and I thinkfor what we paid it's very good value.
