Me and my friend stopped by for afternoon tea, hands down this is the best scones I've eaten, freshly baked on the spot. Staff were friendly and the cafe has charm. Would definitely return again for afternoon tea.

This was my favourite place I visited whilst in cheddar. The food is absolutely amazing. What blew our socks off were the spiced scones with mince meat and clotted cream!!! Super affordable as well and the service was spot on.

We had a lovely breakfast here. This was our best breakfast of our long weekend away. We chose here as an online search showed that vegan and meat eaters were catered for, other establishments in the area this was not clear. Cosy and lovely decor.

FABULOUS place for tea & coffee….and a little cake-or 2!!!Very pretty cozy…a good varied menu!Great staff!Just a tip-this pretty little place is nearer the top on the hill-so park up there, or get the bus from the base….start your day here-it will NOT disappoint!! Or of course end here!!

Amazing! Lovely tea room, latte and mocha, macarons and cheese and English vegan breakfast, all was absolutely amazing. We booked in advance, the service really good! See you soon 😉

Great vegan options. We had toasted cheese sandwich, hot chocolate and scone cream tea (all vegan). Lovely place, with a nice little terrace at the back. Staff were lovely too.

Best location in Cheddar in the rear garden. Hard working staff with great attention to clients, even when busy (which it always seems to be). I have had Ploughman’s and Breakfast (separate occasions!). Both good and service consistent. I’m a big fan. Great work. Ian.

Amazing vegan food!! This place is a little gem of a find! The staff were great and it's really nice and cosy inside! We didn't expect to find a place that had so many vegan options so we had to come back and have the breakfast the following morning too! I'm sure if we were staying another day we would've been back to try the rest of the menu! 10/10

I came to Lion Rock Tea Rooms as me and my partner were in the area and we looked up afternoon tea and the Lion Rock Tea Rooms had some great reviews so we gave it a try and we were not disappointed. I had the traditional afternoon tea with 2 scones, 1 plain and 1 fruit and the scones were freshly made as they were still warm and absolutely delicious. Usually scones are quite filling and sometimes hard to eat 2 but these scones were light as a feather and to die for. The cream and jam was delicious and so was the tea (you get the option of coffee). I also had pimms as it was sunny which was well made and had lots of fruit. We sat upstairs, outside in their lovely little garden that had lots of flowers growing. This is a tea room definitely worth visiting if you are in the area and you may need to book when everything gets back to normal.I would also like to add that Lion Rock Tea Rooms has been voted best tea rooms in Somerset and has been certified as one of the best tea rooms in the United Kingdom.
