The Fox and Hounds in Mendip

We had a fantastic meal on a busy Saturday night, the food was cooked to perfection, the service was fast and efficient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends.

After a long dog walk up the hill and back, a large group of us visited for lunch. Very friendly, great atmosphere, dog friendly. Brilliant service and the Sunday lunch was the best I’ve had in ages!! Sorry gran, that includes yours!!!Lovely country pub. A must visit.

Wonderfully comfortable pub. There were 8 of us and we were accommodated comfortably and the staff could not do enough for us. Only now 5 stars as the car park is rather small and the menu could offer a little more choice. We will definitely be going back when in the area again.

I have been fortunate to have dinner here two Saturday nights in a row. Both times the service was excellent and the food superb.I would really recommend it, it is rare to find a good village pub with top notch food of excellent quality.My particular favourite was the warm Camembert with the most delicious chutney.

Me and my girlfriend decided to find a nice country pub to spend the new year and so came up from Cheltenham. On arrival it seemed very busy but the lady behind the bar found us a spot to sit (my girlfriend being pregnant, we needed that) and despite the kitchen being closed just before we got there they still served us up some curry which was lovely. Really friendly place, lovely atmosphere, very accommodating, dog-friendly and really, really cosy. Great music, great drinks. Will be back again. Thanks guys.

Went to the Fox and Hounds today. Very disappointed with the standard of the food. Staff were, however, friendly and helpful. Bill arrived with approx £5 discount to compensate for a hair found in my friend'sSunday lunch. Both lunch and deserts were not warm enough.Generally not anything to write home about.Will try elsewhere for the next celebration.

We had a superb meal at The Fox tonight. Great Early Bird special £15 for three courses. Staff were attentive and the ambience was lovely. Thoroughly recommend.

Excellent service. Their new lunch menu is terrific. Had a blt and it was a meal in its own right. Lovely pub, with great atmosphere. Lots of original old beams and novel/ quirky outdoor areas for the summer. Looking forward to going again.

Visited several times and love the quirky atmosphere. Have even booked the bell tents in the garden for a 21st party. Lovely staff very nice food and a lovely place to spend a couple of hours.
