The Greek Taverna in Mendip

Visited recently for the second time as we have returned to Wells this place remains a warm and friendly place with knowledgeable staff which enabled us to have a wonderful meal our first taste of Greek food and when we are next in Wells we will be back.Looking forward to returning again on our next visit in Sept 22

Three of us experienced the 3 course Christmas meal and it was delicious. As usual atmosphere was bustling and service exemplary, such a lovely restaurant in Wells.

Great little restaurant, booking recommend at weekends. Our waiter was fantastic. Kindly fitted us in between bookings as we had no reservation.They don't advertise a kids menu but will do nearly all the mains as a half portion, which is basically half the main bit (meat/fish) and just as many chips and sides.Service speed was spot on and the waiter was attentive enough to know we mattered but not so much he became annoying.Children really liked the imported Greek sour cherry fizzy drink.I highy recommend the burgers 'not in a bun'.

Excellent restaurant in former pub. There is a pretty courtyard garden, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. They serve authentic and delicious Greek food. Service is impeccable. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I was by how they coped with my garlic allergy. They talked me through the menu, made special garlic-free food for me, thought proactively about related foods which might cause a problem for me, and gave me very reassurance throughout the meal, so I was able to relax completely and enjoy my food. A shining example of how to handle allergies. Brilliant!
