My son visited this pub yesterday he ate a steak burger, with salad, chips and mushrooms, and was really ill afterwards, I informed the venue by phone and the Landlord Alan Miles said βok!!β And hung up! He was really rude and aggressive, I visited then went onto visit the venue in person and again met with rude arrogant staff, making faces at me, saying heβd rang his dr (this would had been within 10 minutes of me calling and arriving at the pub!!) he went on to say he had googled food poisoning which he was then putting his phone showing google up to my face, disguising customer service all round (and no point did I say my son was poisoned by his food there!) I rang initially to Inform the pub my son had been ill in there toilets for over 15 minutes and they may want to give a deep clean, but his attitude and defensive manner was appalling, my daughter and myself was told to neverCome back again!! Has if I would........by how he responded and his defensive attitude I have now progressed onto report this to the relevant people,

Small local pub, perfect for a drink and food after a countryside walk

Great pub food at a reasonable price. Sizeable portions. Good service too in a typical pub setting. The beer is the local brew from Bristol and is a nice pint. It was served a tad cold on my last visit but on a previous visit it was about right. I'll certainly be visiting again. It's perhaps mentioning that this pub is just off a fine walk from Radstock to Frome along a tarmac path of an old railway line. About mile out of Radstock, stop for a pint and then return to Radstock. Not a bad way to spend a long lunchtime.
