The Kings Arms in Mendip

Came for dinner. Good menu choice. Staff very friendly. We didnt feel rushed out and were able to take our time enjoying the food and atmosphere

Stunning location, reasonably priced rooms breakfast was delicious (full English) this was included in my room price through booking.com.

We made a last minute booking on our way home from being in the West Country. And we have to say the initial greeting on Sunday afternoon was just perfect we where shown to Room 3 which was a very nice room very clean and comfortable. Of course we made our way down to the bar for a refreshing drink or two. We also booked for dinner and have to say the food was outstanding a brilliant chef. Staff had also changed in the bar and restaurant area and again we could not fault them in any way.We had a good sleep and breakfast was also outstanding. Would we go back most definitely without a doubt. Can we just say well done to everyone at the kings Arms. Thank you.

Excellent and spacious pub & hotel full of character with a contemporary interior. The food is great quality and there is a restaurant dining area within the pub. The staff were friendly and efficient, tables were clean & cleared, car parking and a pleasant outdoor seating with tables are at the rear of the premises. This is a lovely pub and look forward to visiting again, highly recommended.

Staff were lovely friendly and welcoming. Room has everything you need well stocked clean and comfortable. It is a country Inn could do with a little updating but clean and functional fit for purpose. Only slight challenge was the car park. It is a challenge to get in and out, I would gladly have paid to reserve a space as they were limited and quite a feat to park.

The staff were so kind and helpful, very informative and able to answer all questions we had, they also helped when we forgot some items calling us less than 45 minutes after we'd leftSarah (manager I think) was delightful and so sweet and chatty at breakfast.Both dinner and breakfast were incredible and great prices.I would love to stay here again

Do not stay here if you need a good night's sleep or if you do not smoke.Stayed 1 of 2 nights booked through Hotels.com ( who also you cannot contact for a complaint)The fire alarm at the Kings Arms Inn went off 6 times from 5am.. of course we woke in a panic and evacuated. The staff member said it doesn't usually go off this many times.The lady living next door said every time it goes off I have to evacuate- which is clearly a regular occurance. Firstly terribly dangerous as I have read from other reviews that the fire brigade refuse to come because it happens so often.Secondly we have driven a long way to be here and a good night's sleep at a hotel is just a basic need.Also our room has lots of gel air fresheners dotted around. This is to try and mask the smell of cigarette smoke which is potent, especially in the ensuite. As a non smoker you can smell it straight away- also I have asthma so breathing that in all night hasn't been good for me.I actually do not write reviews often, but this experience has been so bad I feel I need to warn others before they consider booking. Because the staff do not seem phased by either of these issues, nor willing to rectify them.

Great food/ drink , accommodation , value and service. Staff were heroes, that really went that extra mile to make our stay perfect. MANY thanks .

Everything about this place was just perfect from the location, food choices and their quality, accommodation Staff were very keen to help and enable customers in any way they could to ensure they had an enjoyable and relaxing stay. 😁👍

We were very impressed with our lunch at the Kings Arms today.The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this pub if you want a great dining experience.
