Visiting The Litton for the second time with my husband. The first time I found the food and staff great, today we had some issues, after ordering our food we noticed that everyone else was being served and not us. We brought this to the attention of a young staff member but still no food. When my husband went to the bar to ask, turns out there was some sort of mix up in the kitchen. Subsequently the food arrived. The manager issued an apology. These things happen, even if it is annoying at the time. However the manager came to the table with a gratuity voucher, by way of an apology. Which was unexpected and generous. The food we had at the price point was good. I would say it would be nice to have a bottle of wine at a slightly lower cost of £26. But I would recommend The Litton on the bases of good all round food, really good service...Sometimes things go wrong...But they went out of their way to put it right. Great...Thank you x

Had our wedding lunch here three weeks ago. It was a small reception (13 people) but management and the staff went over and beyond to accommodate our needs and make us feel at ease. Thank you for being so lovely and make our day even more special!

Absolutely beautiful pub in a lovely area. Our meals were delicious and dessert/coffee too. The outside area was near empty when we were leaving so we were able to relax and chat after our meal by the fire. Some honest feedback; whilst our meals were delicious, I found the portion sizes quite small. My husband and I had the chicken roast and I felt we weren’t given enough chicken. Each of us were given two roasters, one part of a carrot and one part of a parsnip, one half piece of courgette on top of a bed of mashed swede, some greens and cabbage. I had a gluten free roast so unfortunately mine came with no Yorkshire. The kids meal my son got was ‘pizza’ but was a French bread pizza - since he is 3 it was a little hard for him to eat (like crusty), and cost £8.50 with no scoop of Icecream included - that was £2.Overall we had a lovely time and would come again.

Very welcoming and friendly, with a great menu of gluten-free and vegan food. Lovely setting near the stream... Smart and clean. Can't fault it! Been wanting to go here for years and so glad I finally did!

A calm easy going late lunch today. Dog friendly. Good food well prepared and served. We we’re welcomed and politely served. A gem of a country boutique pub and well recommended. Our server Kat deserves a star for her style and manner. We will come back again and please keep things as they are. But don’t get too well known we would like to keep you secret. Well done.

Absolutely brilliant place! Very relaxing and quite. Our kid was running around the beautiful landscape and then was enjoying gorgeous food! Compliments to chef for such a creative way to serve the food! Everything was incredibly tasty! Everyone who is coming to this lovely little village highly recommend to visit this place for great food and service!

We had a super meal here with visiting family from France. The service and food were wonderful. However it was marred by the high noise level in the main eating area. This was due in part to a small group who guffaw and squealed almost all the time we were there. It made quiet conversation hard and was intrusive. A quiet area would be nice or possibly additions to mute the noise level generally. Being asked to leave our table although we had finished and were about to leave we felt unneccessary and slightly aggrieved. We hadn't dawdle or taken excessive time. All very polite but made us feel as if the restaurant had become a 'pack 'em in' joint which we have not experienced before and we have visited on many occasions. A shame as we value good professional service and gentle ambience. We will return but request a quieter place to dine if possible.

What a lovely find in a lovely area of countryside. Loads of space indoors and outdoors, loads of parking space. Had some good beers on the menu and the food menu had many tempting options and everything we tried was great. Excellent service too.

Rarely write reviews but, 10 of us had a Sunday lunch at The Litton yesterday. Cannot fault the service or the food. 10 clean plates! The guy who served us was friendly, jovial, professional and attentive without being pushy. Even though the restaurant was full we were not waiting for drinks or food. Have enjoyed good food and service in the past too.
