One star as I cant grade any lower.Probably one of the worse meals I've ever had. Took ages to be brought out with no explanation or apology, staff couldn't seem to care less. Beer tasted watered down and ended up having to source food elsewhere for child whilst waiting. When food did arrive it was mostly cold, chewy and tasted awful. It was sheer hunger that got us through it.Do not go here!

Was out for my friend returning from Australia after 3 years, I arrived to be greeted at the bar by one of my friends. I had 2 drinks prior to this and me and my friend were chatting at the bar for 1 minute waiting to be served and then the male manager refused to serve us as we were ‘too drunk’. We questioned him asking what we’d done wrong as we were just having a conversation, he continued to say we were too drunk and singled us out infront of the whole pub and refused to serve any of our party until we were gone. Ruined the night for us and the party. I have never been treated so unfairly with no explanation. I would understand if we genuinely were too drunk but we were just stood having a conversation with no sign of being too drunk, and the manager didn’t say what we did that made us come across as too drunk.

They've done well to get rid of most of the bad press that Market House was previously associated with. Good food, good drink, pool table and nice big beer garden. Has been our favourite in the summers! Very reasonably priced so definitely recommend; as the only sports bar in Glastonbury 👍

Really reasonable prices. Friendly staff and fast service. Loved that it's dog friendly.... a bowl of water was brought out to us. 😍 Indoor or outdoor seating. Food was delicious.

Just a stones throw from the Glastonbury Abey. Looks like a lovely place inside, very welcoming and very pleasant chatty bar staff made us feel very comfortable, good value for money on drinks and food with a lovely bright courtyard beer garden out the back. I would definitely recommend the market house

Please avoid this place if you like to sleep!! A friend and I had planned this trip to climb the Tor for sunrise. We paid £95 and it was a lovely room. On booking there was no mention of nightlife on the website or on arrival. I had to call the bar past midnight, to ask how long the music was going to continue to play, and their response was ‘would you like some ear plugs’! I mean….seriously?? I’m glad to say she turned the music down, but customers were still rowdy as!!!! I would not recommend to anyone.

Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend. Staff were very friendly. Great parking behind the pub, although only a small car park but we were lucky enough to get a spot. Room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Bed was amazing, really comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee etc and shower room was great. Staff were exceptional, very attentive, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Had evening meals and breakfast at the pub. Evening meals were really tasty and very good value for money. Steak was the best I've had for a long time. The kitchen did run out of a few items on the menu on Sunday evening due to them being so busy during the day. Breakfast was continental, with option to have a variety of cooked items for an small extra charge. Freshly cooked croissants were lovely. Everything was cooked well and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Great beer garden out the back which we made use of. Small negative points were that the windows in our bedroom did not close properly. Although not a massive problem, it would have muffled some of the noise of the men chatting on the street early in the morning. Also would have been better with curtains rather than blinds at the windows. Great stay and we wouls definately stay again. The Hickinbottoms

Went to try the new refurbished place...The bar staff were lovely and the food was OK.. Its good for the area that the menu prices are a little lower than some. After a nice relaxing time there, the new manager misunderstood something and handled it in such a confrontational and offensive way that I and several friends definitely won't be returning until there is (yet another) new manager. Not the way to treat the locals whilst launching a new pub

Lovely refurb, good prices. Shame about the staff. Rude member of staff Tasha (possibly a manager as dressed different to others) Too busy on her phone or talking to her friends and other staff. No acknowledgement on delivery of food. Lacking basic customer service. Unfortunately it wasn’t just bad service from one individual , it was another member of staff also but did not catch her name.
