An outstanding venue in the heart of Cider countrysideThe railway in is just a must visit not only because it has a great menu and of course "the" best selection of Thornton ciders (it should have since it's on the doorstep of Thornton's Cider) and an amazing natural ambience of openness, natural surroundings. We have never seen so many Cider options and the bar staff encouraged us to try them all 😅The blood orange Cider is just one of the best ciders we have tasted, of course not forgetting the little rascal which is a great choiceThe menu is diverse and offers a range of ingredients to suit most palates.Staff are super helpful and welcoming. The seating areas are perfect with comfy chairs and high tables to make a great relaxing visit.#garystribe #localguides #letsguide #foodblogger #travelblogger #cider #greatfood #somerset

I’ve done the factory tour (brilliant) but never eaten until today. Disappointed to say that I was underwhelmed by the Burger. Chips perfect; coleslaw good, pickled chilli, what’s not to like. Burger….mmmm, bit too overdone for me. Interesting filling with the bun, different yes, but something not quite right. Maybe it was my choice; so will have to go again and check!! Cider choice of course is amazing.

Beautiful pub close to the Thatcher's Mill. Service was prompt and I could not fault the food. The Railway Inn welcoming to all ages and modern day architecture with the cosiness of an old traditional pub.

Excellent lunch here. The staff were fantastic and make the whole experience even better. The food was amazing and the range of ciders on offer makes it even better.

I've a love hate relationship with this place. I've grown up with thatchers cider and its something I really enjoy drinking. The restaurant is a really incredible building and the atmosphere is great... but every time I go, I remember why I don't often go. And it's because the food and service is just naff. On this occasion 7 of us went. 5 adults and 2 kids (6/9).1 meal came out wrong. The drinks came wrong, the mustard came in a ramekin that it had been in so long it had skinned over (bearing in mind we where the only people eating). My steak was good, the things it came with where average.I happened to be there with 2 friends, both of whom are chefs. And both didn't finish their food because of how disappointed they where with it.Really it just needs a shift, it either needs to make the food more simple and cheaper. Or up their game to reflect the price.Seems a real shame to leave such rubbish feed back on somewhere I want to like so much. But it's just consistently disappointing.

Stopped for lunch at this pub as I pass it on a regular basis but had never previously been in. It seems to be part of the Thatcher's Cider Makers plant which is adjacent and is converted from one of their buildings. It looks quite attractive and there is an extensive range of ciders to try. However, the pub was quite cold so that we had to keep our coats on. Though it wasn't busy we had to wait 40 minutes for our food after ordering. The food itself was acceptable but nothing special and at the upper end of the scale price wise for pub food. In all, fairly average and there are better pubs in the area.

Visited today (Sunday 19th December). Had an absolutely delightful roast beef lunch, both me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the food. The staff were very welcoming and the Railway Inn itself is very pretty and well presented.Overall great experience. Thank you very much.Only thought to get a picture once I had finished my food, doh.

Fantastic service, super friendly staff and some of the best food we've had in this country, no joke. Clean and tidy and some of the greatest cider, can't fault the place at all! Will be coming back!

A beautiful spot for a Sunday lunch. Great family vibes, good service and unbelievable cauliflower cheese and red cabbage - the Thatchers cider is also a strong bonus. Go for the rose cider if you like sweet, or the dry is also great!!

Beautiful pub inside and out! It is situated right next to the Thatchers brewery and on the day we visited, you could smell the cider being brewed.Drink prices are great too!
