Stayed at a B&B close by, needed somewhere to eat. Was surprised to see the difference to interior to exterior design.Lovely open area to sit, fairy lights on ceiling in one room, an assortment of ornaments on shelves in another. Very friendly, helpful staff.Good choice of food, though slightly expensive.Lovely beer battered fish and chips. Nice range of cider. The added bonus was they accepted dogs into the pub/restaurant, which several others also attended.Exterior could do with a ‘makeover’ to match interior.

Always a delight to eat here, the food has a class and style that is more than the average carvery or restaurant in the area. There is a huge bar, well stocked with local ciders and often a band playing. The mustard and cider mussels starter stole the show for us, we'd recommend it to anyone!

Visited The Sheppey whilst staying locally. We were given a very warm welcome by the friendly staff. Food options were good, with a children's menu and an extensive drinks list. We tried some locally brewed beers which were lovely. Service was prompt despite having some large groups of people on the night we visited. Our meals (dirty burger and fish stew) were delicious. Definitely recommended.

Welcoming staff (we hadn't booked - that's advisable if you want a restaurant table). Very helpful with a strong customer focus. Good food with a different twist. Good beers. Thanks - a great, memorable experience.

Fantastic pub with great atmosphere. Love the quirky items around the pub. Food was excellent as always. Really like that the children’s menu as it isn’t just fish fingers, sausages etc. our daughter loves the fish stew. Lovely mocktails and presented nicely.

This was such a surprising place. An unassuming frontage leads in to a cavernous space which is beautifully decorated. The real ale is kept really well, and they have an an amazing collection of gins. The burger was flawless. The staff are really friendly and welcoming as well.

What a find!!!! Stayed locally and this was recommended 👌. Great food, reasonably priced, great selection of proper ales, (golden chalice was lovely) and friendly, happy staff. Big plus was the live music. The Hullabaloosers! Proper good duo. Well worth seeing. Would definitely go there again.

Lovely quaint little pub in a small village. Food here is sourced locally which means the menu is fresh and full of flavour. The Sunday roast was fantastic and such a huge portion that were we're glad we didn't have a starter. Staff were really friendly and keen to give me a tasting tour of the local ciders from the commercialised fizzy ones to the flat farm dung tasting ones! Would definitely recommend coming here.

We had a meal in The Sheppey and it was wonderful. Top rated friendly service with all staff having a great knowledge of the menu. The food was delicious- the vegan options were amazing. Our little dog loved it too and was given a lot of attention. Very quirky and can’t wait to return. The team of chefs are clearly very good and produce food to top restaurant standard. We loved it
