The Somerset Wagon in Mendip

We had a Groupon 2 course meal with a glass of wine. We chose the £18.95 8oz Sirloin steak with £3 extra to pay.Everything on the plate came out of a freezer and the steak was not attractive to look at or taste. The house wine was also very poor. The management did not care that we were unhappy and just advised if we wanted a different drink we would have to pay extra.The young staff were very helpful but were only able to report instruction from the management.We certainly will not be going there again and I can confidently say that in 10 years it is the worst meal and hospitality, from the management, that we have encountered.

Lovely village pub in Chilcompton, friendly staff, really nice interior.

Been here a few times now, but this was first Sunday lunchtime. The meal was HUUUUGE... Choice of 3 meats, chicken, beef and pork. Chose to add extra pigs in blankets. Everything was well cooked and still hot when it got to us. Would def recommend, but make sure you bring a healthy appetite with you !!

Dog friendly pub. Friendly polite staff. Nice traditional British food, good size portions. Cosy log fire. It's not a posh pub and to me all the better for it. keep it as it is👍

Really great experience lovely lady serving use nothing to much trouble for her will definitely go again great tasty food,value for money.

Had a lovely evening Sunday roast here, the food was delicious, the portions were huge & the staff were really friendly & accommodating. I had the veggie roast option & it was really nice, it was great to have just as big a portion as the meat eaters, it might even have been slightly bigger! Really nice experience, thanks!

The outside needs some tlc, but internally it was very nice. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. Our meals were generous in size despite the fact that the cauliflower cheese was missing from all four adult meals. The only downside was the group of locals that were very free with their language even though we had two young children in our party.

First class pub and so relaxing and friendly staff, its a pleasure to visit and the meals were outstanding and good value for money also the larger was excellent.I shall return the next time I am in Somerset and will certainly have a meal.

I am disappointed with the pie. It is the frozen pie from a factory, they just heat up and serve.Picture tells better story, very very little meat and soggy puff.

Nice pub in the countryside. Very friendly and well maintained, bar staff were welcoming. There was a good choice of drinks. Interior decor was old style. Food menu is typical pub grub but the choices were good.
