The Westbury Inn Pub in Mendip

Lovely place excellent food and lovely staff and dog friendly

We stayed in a cottage a couple of doors down, so used this pub during our stay. I have to say it was a really nice place. Friendly staff who all work very hard. And the Guinness was absolutely beautiful. We also had a Sunday roast which was the best roast I’ve ever had.

Absolutely delicious food here you can't go wrong. It's nothing like typical pub grub it's restaurant quality food. The atmosphere is wonderful and they are extremely welcoming. Dogs are allowed in and they have a great selection of specials too

Lovley welcoming building and staff.Food was tasty and good quality.One critacism is that £4 for a small bowl of chips is too much.A few more would have been a fairer portion.Will definitely visit again though.

Met my family here we were greeted with open arms the food was good except my ham (ham/ egg / chips) was a bit fatty.but the service was excellent My other problem was there isn't a car park at the premises which is inconvenient

Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday roast here, absolutely delicious. Had three courses and they were all such a delight - proper homemade and tasty food. We'll definitely be back!

Great little find when on our travels. Looks tiny from the front but really is a tardis once inside. Very welcoming staff, wish we could have stayed longer. Flowers outside were amazing.

Turned up at 2pm and although open till 11pm, had stopped serving food.Izzy and Chef were really kind, although I do think Princess Bella our Cockapoo helped us get food ;-)So glad we did get food, and Chef didn’t disappoint, been driving past quite a few times, on days out and said we needed to try out.Me - Mackerel freshly caught by the landlord, with local new potatoes buttered and salad OMG I can still taste it superb!Wife - Local mussels, so fresh and tasty cooked in garlic and white wine… yes I did take a few ;-)Don’t drive by drive in.Thx Izzy and chef x

Absolutely amazing food, staff are very professional, polite and super friendly. Very much enjoyed myself so did my children.

Really great food, friendly & helpful staff, lovely outside seating areas. And some very cute friendly chickens to say hello to! Would definitely reccomend.
