It's safe to say that here, at this very pub, they serve the best roast dinner on the A396. I had roast beef and my wife had the haggis and spinach Wellington. Superb spuds, gorgeous gravy and excellent vegetables. Will definitely return. Also good selection of ales on tap.

Can't fault this place at all. The pub is a wonderful rural pub. The food was outstanding, freshly cooked and amazing. The staff were friendly and approachable.We sat near a lovely wood fire giving the place a wonderful ambience.If we are ever back in the area, we will be returning for sure

Great food, good location for drinks or a restaurant meal.

We booked an overnight stay after spending the day on Exmoor.The room was comfortable, with good amenities.However when asking about service times for breakfast, we were told there wouldn't be any breakfast available. We felt after we should have challenged this as the fee clearly confirmed breakfast was included as you would expect in the price.We have never experienced this in a B and B before.The noise from the rabble in the pub after returning from supper out was enough at the end of a long day.Needless to say we won't be going back.

I Just returned from a wedding at The Exeter Inn.Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty.!!!Have not had so much fun in decades!Staff Supercool (even if this word is not).If you live in this area book here for parties.

The room was ok and Bathroom nice. Apparently I should have been offered breakfast but nobody mentioned it. The staff couldn't get rid of you quick enough. Overcharged for beer and crisps. Put me off going again.

we stayed here for 4 nights recently, I don't think I can explain how much we really enjoyed our stay, we wanted to go somewhere that was dog friendly, but also somewhere where we actually felt comfortable. This is the place, everyone there was so accommodating, nothing seemed like it was to much trouble. the food was excellent, we only ate here twice on our stay but im glad we did, I recommend the chicken burger, you won't be disappointed. The dog also loved his stay, he was never to far from being fussed by a stranger. Everyone was helpful and we got some great recommendations for places to visit why we were there, thank you, no doubt we will be back in the near future.

We had dinner here as part of a big family group whilst on holiday nearby. Service was great and the food all delicious. Everyone loved it. Would definitely recommend.

The food was nice and the rooms were great. But there was inadequate service as there were only two towels in the room when we were a family of four. Even when we asked for some more towels we didn't receive any. There was no shower gel or shampoo in the room until we asked for it and even then it wasn't enough. These are Covid times and it's understandable that hotels are attempting to recoup lost earnings, however, we felt it was still expensive especially given that the breakfast was not included in the price.
