We visited on the off chance that we might get a table for the 4 of us - we were initially just popping in for a drink in the beautiful gardens - but we were lucky enough to be given a table within 5 minutes. Our server Elle was so lovely, very friendly and helpful, kept checking on us to see how everything was... had a good laugh over a few things with her.. she was just very bubbly, and genuinely looked like she enjoyed her job - makes a change in this day and age!! Food was fab as always - have eaten here before, and have 2 more bookings already made - 1 in July for my sons Birthday, and one in September for mine and my partners Anniversary... love this place, it's clean, the staff are always lovely, and the food is great. Looking forward to returning in July and September.

My husband & I are on a few days break & have our 17wk old German Shepherd puppy with us. This pub is amazing & have eaten there 3 consecutive days & always a fantastic greeting. Food lovely & reasonably priced & all staff very, very friendly. Well done to all the team.

It was a family meal for my birthday.Sarah served us at our table, she was friendly efficient and nothing was a problem. We all had carvery and the carvery chef was lovely. The meat was excellent and there was plenty of vegetables and potatoes, all of which was tasty and hot. We were too full for pudding which was a shame because I'm partial to a fruit crumble ! It was a gorgeous day so after our food we took our drinks out to the garden, such a beautiful setting. Also I got given a free small bottle of prosecco as it was my birthday which was much appreciated. Thank you all for excellent customer service, we will be back definitely.

The staff were great from the moment we arrived. Very attentive.I have not been for many years and so glad I went back. It was as good then as it is now.Food was delicious could not fault .The only downside when sitting outside was the owners with dogs that were letting freely run around , I would prefer them to be on a lead.

I went to Fisherman’s Cot to treat my Daughter to a meal as she has come down to visit me. The venue is located in a beautiful setting right on the river bank and by a gorgeous stone bridge!!! The restaurant itself is very quaint and decorated to a really high standard!!! Enough of the scenery and now on to the food!!! We had the set lunch menu and we both opted for Garlic Mushrooms with really tasty toasty bits smothered in butter!!! It was yummy and very filling! For the main we both chose the Steak and Chips which was topped with a golden runny egg!!! It was fantastic!!! Normally my daughter will always have a pudding but I was amazed when she announced she was too full. The value for money was absolutely fantastic as it only cost £25!!!!! The young lady who served us was very professional, polite, friendly and helpful and very welcoming!!! All in all I highly recommend that everyone visits and there were numerous children which I might add were brilliantly behaved and also a few dogs which were also really well behaved!!! To be honest it all just added to the perfect atmosphere that existed whilst we were there!!!

Had a lunch for a friend's birthday here. Food is absolutely delicious, Staff very attentive and beautiful location. The online booking system was very simple and efficient. I went mid week but during Easter school holidays so I thought it best to book and I wasn't wrong. Recommend booking as it gets busy but there is a very good distance between tables which is nice in terms of Covid. Look forward to going again!

We had a really lovely meal in lovely surroundings. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Even when there was a slight change in menu (a different pie filling), they made us aware. Both the main course and dessert was lovely - a good size and well presented, as well as being tasty.

We booked to stay on Saturday the 02/04 for my partners birthday. On check in we were greeted by Sam who was very efficient and the best asset to the pub, We booked a table for 7pm arrived promptly and were shown to table 27 (it only had one chair but luckily we found a second behind a curtain) waitresses came and went to surrounding tables after 30 minutes my partner went to the bar to order a drink for us, a further 25 minutes a waitress came to take our food order, there was by that time no sea food available, the waitress was not engaging and her lack of customer service was appalling. The food came and was very tasty although the lasagna was warm but by no means hot, in the time it took us to order every other table had ordered and eaten all courses of their meal, I feel we were put in a corner and forgotten about. This was by no means the experience I wanted for birthday celebrations and was left feeling let down. Unfortunately we won’t be returning which is a shame as the pub the area and the room were lovely.

I met my friend for lunch at Fisherman’s Cot. We’ve been before as it’s halfway between our homes. But more than that we absolutely know we are going to have good service and food. We both had the Sunday roast which couldn’t be faulted: and generous meat on the small plates we chose. We feel safe with you as to covid as the tables are well spaced. The young waitresses were very helpful and friendly. I was concerned that the tip we gave went directly to them, so gave it in cash as including the gratuity on the card payment may not have been passed to them. Is this made clear on your menu or website? But excellent experience all round.

What an incredible Christmas meal! Customer service from booking right up until we walked out the door was impeccable. All the staff really made our Christmas Day special. The food was of an equally high standard and the portion size was amazing there was even enough for our 4 dogs to enjoy this evening. Thank you so much to everyone at Fisherman's Cot for such a special Christmas!
